Biodiesel Production

While the science behind the production of biodiesel has been around for decades, it has only been in the last few years that it has seriously been considered an economically feasible fuel alternative in Australia. This is, in part, due to the seemingly ever rising cost of fuel and the need for greener and renewable fuels. Synthesis of biodiesel from waste vegetable oils can reduce fuel costs to as little as 25 cents a litre and 90 cents a litre from crushed oil seeds such as canola. Biodiesel has considerable environmental advantages, being able to cut emissions by up to 70% when compared to the more prevalent petroleum diesel. SCINTEX aims to offer a variety of Biodiesel kits and reactors to service the needs of the home enthusiast, looking to cut their weekly fuel bills, to larger scale kits capable of producing thousands of litres of biodiesel. In addition to retailing biodiesel kits, SCINTEX offer services in biodiesel engineering, specialising in reactor, heating and flow design. We can also provide all chemicals, in small and large quantities required for the titration of oil and production of biodiesel.
