Warranty & Returns

The warranty period for you goods will be specified in the product listing. If you are unsure just email us and we can clarify the warranty period. The Scintex warranty covers against manufacturing fault only. If the product is found to be misused or neglected the product warranty will not apply. Some Scintex products require assembly (sometimes by a licensed electrician) or fitting of the products to your vehicle or project. It is assumed on purchase that you have the necessary skills to perform such tasks. By purchasing goods from Scintex Pty Ltd you are agreeing to the conditions of the warranty.

8 Warranty
8.1 It is assumed on ordering Goods that the customer has the necessary skills to perform assembly and installation or will engage a qualified professional to perform such tasks.
8.2 The Company is not liable for any damage caused as a result of misuse of our products.
8.3 Return of goods will be in accordance with ACL 263 (3).
8.4 Warranty & Returns claims are 'Return to Base'.
8.5 If no manufacturing fault is found with the returned product the customer will be liable for a minimum $100 inspection fee to cover the technician's inspection time. Any additional costs associated with the warranty inspection will be charged to the customer.
8.6 Goods found to have a valid warranty claim for minor fault will be repaired or replaced.
8.7 In some instances returned goods will need to be returned to Company’s supplier or the manufacturer for warranty assessment. In these cases claims may take longer to resolve than normal. The Company is not accountable for any delays in warranty processing caused through this process.
8.8 All returned goods must be accompanied by a Warranty & Returns form as well as original proof of purchase. Goods returned without proof of purchase and a completed Warranty & Returns form will not be assessed.
8.9 Any form or tampering, disassembly or attempted repair without prior written consent from the Company will void the warranty for the Goods.
9 Returns & Cancellations

9.1 No order may be cancelled, modified or deferred without the prior written consent of the Company (which is at the Company’s sole discretion). If such consent is given it is, at the Company’s discretion and will be subject to the Company recuperating all losses including but not limited to, technician time, goods preparation time and administrative costs.
9.2 A restocking fee applies to all cancelled or returned orders at a rate of 25%. For special order Goods the Company reserves the right to increase this restocking fee where additional costs are incurred, including but not limited to Goods specifically imported or ordered to fulfil a Customer’s order.
9.3 Refunds will not be made for change of mind under any circumstances.
9.4 Refunds will only be processed back to the Bank account, Credit Card or PayPal account that was used to pay for the item.

10 Technical & Sales Advice

10.1 Our technical advice is provided to our best knowledge, experience and free of charge.
The customer is obliged to apply due diligence in verifying applicability of
our advice to the Customer’s special conditions of production or application.
Concerning our technical advice we accept no liability for damage or loss caused by Goods supplied and technical advice given.
