The tank is a long way from the pump and there is no cabling or communication between these locations. When the sun is shining, the pump wants to run and pump water. However, when the stock feed tank fills, what turns the pump off? \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIncorporating a mechanical pressure switch in the above design is perfect as it allows the pump to be turned on and off as the tank fills.
