These exchangers are commonly used for; 
  • Biodiesel Straight Vegetable Oil Conversions - Use your engines radiator fluid to raise the temperature of vegetable oil prior to combustion. At 80C, filtered vegetable oil has a similar viscosity to common diesel fuel making it ideal as an alternative fuel replacement in diesel engines.
  • Portable Hot Water Camping Shower - Exchange heat with your radiator fluid to achieve a steaming hot shower while camping in remote locations.
  • Beer chilling - Setup a small pump circuit which circulates chilled water through the exchanger instantly cooling your beer to icy cold temperatures.

Important information;

  • Common heater hose in automobiles is 5/8"
  • When tested with Bosh 12 volt pump, Scintex recorded flow rates of approximately 26LPM thorugh the exchanger (higher then pump nameplate).
  • When tested with 12 volt Quiet Quad pump, Scintex recored flowrates of approximately 17LPM though the exchanger.
