Petrol Pumps 12V

Unleaded petrol or gasoline pumps powered by 12V direct current. These pumps are specially designed for use with petrol and flammable fuels. Ideal for connecting to your truck, ute or car's battery.
A 12V petrol pump is suited to mobile fuel transfer where a vehicle battery or other suitable 12V DC supply is available, including refuelling machinery, generators, boats and equipment from approved tanks or drums. Only use a pump specifically designed for petrol or other listed flammable fuels; a standard diesel transfer pump is not automatically safe for petrol service.
Compare the approved fuel types, flow rate, duty cycle, suction lift, hose length, nozzle type and installation method. Also check the pump’s current draw against the available battery, wiring and circuit protection. Select the model from its published specifications rather than relying only on the advertised maximum flow, which is normally measured under favourable test conditions.
Selected models can be installed as fixed or vehicle-mounted transfer systems when the pump, tank, wiring, hoses and fittings are suitable for petrol service. The installation must protect the pump from impact, weather and fuel vapour accumulation, use appropriately rated electrical protection and comply with any requirements applying to the vehicle, workplace and fuel-storage arrangement.
Petrol produces highly flammable vapours and requires compatible wetted materials plus electrical and mechanical design intended for that hazard. A diesel-only pump may have unsuitable seals, switches, motors or connections that can leak, deteriorate or create an ignition risk. Use the pump only with fuels expressly listed by the manufacturer.
Regularly inspect the power leads, fuse, earth connection, hose, nozzle, seals, filter and mounting hardware. Keep the suction line clean and airtight, avoid running the pump dry, and stop using it immediately if there is leakage, unusual noise, overheating or damaged wiring. Follow the individual product instructions for duty cycle, servicing and storage.
