Description
The Paddock™ Tractor PTO Flail Mower with Hydraulic Grass Catcher combines mowing, mulching and grass collection in one heavy-duty tractor implement. Designed for compatible Category I tractors from 20–80HP, the mower features a 1200mm cutting width, hardened steel cutting blades and a 0.6m³ hydraulic catcher that can be emptied using the tractor's hydraulic system.
Paddock™ Tractor PTO Flail Mower with Hydraulic Grass Catcher
A versatile tractor implement for mowing, mulching and collecting grass and vegetation. The integrated hydraulic catcher allows collected material to be emptied using the tractor's hydraulic system, reducing the need for the operator to leave the tractor seat during routine operation.
The mower is designed for compatible Category I tractors with 20–80HP and operates from a standard 540 RPM PTO. The implement incorporates a 40HP gearbox and triple V-belt drive to power the cutting rotor.

Mow, Mulch & Collect
The Paddock™ mower is designed to provide a practical combination of vegetation cutting, light mulching and collection. Unlike a dedicated finishing mower, the flail-style cutting system is suited to applications where versatility and the ability to handle heavier vegetation are more important than achieving a manicured lawn finish.
The mower can be used for grass, pasture topping, foliage, undergrowth and light vegetation maintenance. It can also handle suitable small sticks and light organic debris encountered during normal mowing.
0.6m³ Hydraulic Grass Catcher
The integrated catcher has a stated capacity of 0.6m³ and collects much of the cut material as the mower operates.
The catcher is hydraulically operated, allowing it to be opened for emptying using the tractor's hydraulic system. This is particularly useful when maintaining larger areas where collected material needs to be periodically discharged.
A tractor with suitable rear hydraulic connections is required to operate the catcher.
Adjustable Cutting Height
The rear roller provides mechanical cutting-height adjustment with stated settings of approximately 45mm, 62mm and 79mm. Additional implement height adjustment can be achieved using the tractor's three-point linkage where appropriate.
Actual cutting height can vary with ground conditions, tractor setup, linkage adjustment and implement position.
Typical Applications
- Acreage and property maintenance
- Pasture topping
- Grass and vegetation mowing
- Roadside and verge maintenance
- Cleaning around sheds and farm buildings
- Light undergrowth management
- Light vine and vegetation mulching
- Collection of cut grass and vegetation
- Storm clean-up involving suitable light organic debris
Heavy-Duty Construction
The mower is manufactured from heavy-duty powder-coated steel and uses replaceable hardened steel cutting blades. A triple V-belt drive transfers power from the gearbox to the cutting rotor.
The front of the mower incorporates a protective flap designed to help contain grass, dust and material discharged by the cutting rotor.
The PTO shaft, safety covers, hydraulic couplings and required grease points are incorporated into the implement for installation and routine servicing.
Tractor & PTO Requirements
The mower uses a standard Category I three-point linkage and is recommended for compatible tractors with engine power between 20 and 80HP.
The implement itself uses a 40HP gearbox. The 20–80HP tractor recommendation describes the suitable tractor power range and should not be interpreted as an 80HP gearbox rating.
For correct operation, the tractor must provide a 540 RPM PTO and suitable hydraulic connections for operation of the grass catcher.

Installation Requirements
The tractor requires a Category I three-point linkage, 540 RPM PTO and suitable hydraulic connections for the catcher. Before purchasing, confirm the tractor has adequate three-point linkage lifting capacity and suitable dimensions and hydraulic connections for the implement.
Note: Gearbox oil must be added to the correct level before initial operation. The mower may also require minor assembly following transport.
Operating & Safety Information
Inspect the mowing area before operation and remove rocks, wire, metal and other objects that could be picked up or thrown by the cutting rotor. Keep people and animals well clear while the mower is operating.
Operate at the specified 540 RPM PTO speed and avoid exceeding the implement's rated operating limits. Always disengage the PTO, shut down the tractor and wait for all moving components to stop before inspection, adjustment or maintenance.
