Description

The AdBlue / DEF Magnetic Tank Filler Adaptor is designed for use with compatible magnetic AdBlue dispensing nozzles. It provides the magnetic interface required to activate compatible service station AdBlue nozzles and can also provide a convenient portable solution for filling suitable AdBlue containers, ute packs and tanks that do not have an integrated magnetic filler ring.

With a 19mm internal diameter, the adaptor can also form part of an AdBlue misfuelling prevention system by restricting the insertion of larger diesel dispensing nozzles.

Many AdBlue dispensing systems use a special nozzle incorporating a magnetic activation mechanism. The nozzle is designed to dispense only when the required magnetic interface is detected at the filler neck.

Compatible AdBlue service station nozzles use a magnetic system to help prevent dispensing into an incorrect tank or container.

Where a tank or portable container does not have the required magnetic filler interface, the dispensing nozzle may not open and allow AdBlue to flow.

Misfuelling Prevention

AdBlue is not a diesel fuel additive. Vehicles using AdBlue have a separate AdBlue tank and filler point, and AdBlue should never be added directly to the diesel fuel tank.

The adaptor has a 19mm internal diameter. In compatible installations, this restricted opening helps prevent the insertion of larger diesel dispensing nozzles into the AdBlue fill point.

The magnetic ring also allows compatible AdBlue dispensing nozzles to recognise the filler interface and operate as intended.
