Paddock™ Motorised Lawn Aerator & Corer – Honda GX160
Professional Lawn Aeration Made Easier
The Paddock™ Lawn Aerator is designed for users who need to aerate larger areas efficiently without manually pushing or towing a passive aerator. Its self-propelled drive system reduces operator effort and makes it practical for repeated use across lawns, gardens and landscaped areas.
The machine suits both home users and professional landscapers who want the flexibility of core aeration and spike aeration in one machine.
Genuine Honda GX160 Engine
Power comes from a genuine Honda GX160 4-stroke OHV petrol engine, widely used across commercial landscaping and industrial equipment.
The engine is rated at 3.6kW (4.8HP) at 3,600rpm and uses a simple recoil starting system.
Honda's extensive service and parts network also makes long-term engine maintenance straightforward.
Dual Coring & Spike Aerating
The Paddock™ aerator can be configured for either core aeration or spike aeration by changing the fitted tines.
Both tine sets are supplied with the machine:
- 4 × hollow coring tines
- 4 × solid spike aerating tines
Each tine is retained by a quick-locking grub screw, making changeover straightforward when switching between applications.

Why Core Aerate?
Core aeration removes small plugs of soil from the lawn, helping relieve compaction and create channels through which air, water and nutrients can reach the root zone.
It is particularly useful on compacted or heavily trafficked turf and can form part of a broader lawn renovation program involving fertilising, top dressing or overseeding.
Why Spike Aerate?
Spike aeration creates openings in the soil without removing cores. It can be useful for lighter aeration jobs or regular maintenance where less soil disturbance is desired.
Because both tine sets are included, the same machine can be adapted to suit different turf conditions and maintenance requirements.
Cam-Driven Tine System
The aerator uses a cam-driven tine mechanism to control tine movement and penetration. A hand-operated engagement lever allows the operator to engage the tine system smoothly while maintaining control of the machine.
The machine's weight distribution is designed to help maintain consistent tine penetration while operating across turf.
Up to 70mm Coring Depth
The machine provides a maximum coring depth of approximately 70mm, allowing meaningful penetration into compacted soil.
Actual depth will vary with soil moisture, compaction, turf condition and tine wear. Best results are generally achieved when the soil contains enough moisture to allow penetration without being excessively wet.
Self-Propelled for Higher Productivity
The self-propelled design helps reduce operator effort compared with manually pushed aerators. With a 410mm working width, the machine is capable of efficiently covering larger lawn and turf areas.
The supplied specification lists a working efficiency of up to approximately 2,500m²/hr, depending on site conditions and operating method.
Easy to Manoeuvre, Transport & Store
Four independent puncture-proof wheels help make the aerator easier to manoeuvre and turn around landscaping features and confined lawn areas.
The handles fold down for transport and storage, while integrated lifting and tie-down points assist when loading the machine onto a ute or trailer.

Assembly & Pre-Start
Some minor assembly is required before first use.
Important: The engine is transported with only sufficient oil for storage and protection. Engine oil must be checked and filled to the correct level before starting. Refer to the Honda engine manual and Paddock™ operating instructions before first use.
Hearing protection is recommended due to the stated operating sound level of 95dB(A). Always inspect the work area before aerating and operate within the specified maximum slope and machine operating limits.
