Paddock™ 17HP Petrol Wood Chipper Mulcher
Heavy-Duty Chipping for Farms, Acreage & Landscaping
The Paddock™ Wood Chipper is designed to quickly reduce branches, pruning waste and general garden debris into manageable wood chips. Its high-powered petrol engine and heavy rotating drum make it well suited to larger properties where smaller electric or domestic chippers may not be practical.
The machine is ideal for acreage, farms, landscaping operations and property maintenance where regular branch and vegetation cleanup is required.
Up to 120mm Branch Capacity
The chipper is rated to process branches up to approximately 120mm diameter, depending on timber species, moisture content, branch shape and feeding conditions.
The horizontal drum design generates significant rotational inertia, helping the machine process both hard and soft woods effectively.
Note: This machine is not suitable for bamboo.
Heavy-Duty Drum & Blade System
The Paddock™ chipper uses a horizontal rotating drum fitted with two heat-treated rotating blades and one fixed blade. This simple, robust arrangement localises wear to replaceable cutting components and makes servicing straightforward.
The blades are also reversible, allowing both cutting edges to be used before replacement is required.
17HP Ducar Commercial Petrol Engine
Power comes from a Ducar DH457-X 17HP 4-stroke commercial petrol engine. The engine provides the torque required to maintain drum speed under load and is fitted with both electric start and recoil backup.
Engine power is transferred to the chipper drum through dual Kevlar drive belts, providing a simple and serviceable drive system.
Portable Around the Property
The chipper is mounted on a heavy-duty chassis with large pneumatic tyres and an integrated tow hitch, making it easy to move between work areas around farms, acreage and private properties.
It can be towed at low speed behind suitable quad bikes, ATVs and farm utilities for relocation around private property.
Important: The chipper is not road registerable and is not intended for towing on public roads.
Adjustable Discharge Chute
An adjustable discharge chute allows the operator to direct wood chips where required, making it easier to collect material into a pile, trailer or designated mulch area.
The chipped material can be useful for garden mulch, composting and general property maintenance depending on the material processed.
Large Feed Hopper
The large inlet hopper allows branches and pruning material to be fed into the machine while helping maintain separation between the operator and the rotating cutting system.
Always follow the supplied operating manual and use appropriate personal protective equipment when feeding material into the chipper.
Built for Regular Use
The chipper uses heavy-duty steel construction, sealed and greaseable bearings, replaceable blades and a straightforward belt-drive system to simplify ongoing maintenance.
Grease points are positioned for routine servicing, while replacement wear components and spare parts are available locally.

Ideal Applications
- Tree pruning cleanup
- Garden and landscaping waste
- Farm and acreage maintenance
- Orchards
- Property clearing
- Storm debris cleanup
- Light commercial landscaping
Operation & Maintenance
For best performance, feed suitable branches progressively and avoid forcing excessive volumes of material into the hopper at once. Timber species, branch forks, moisture content and material condition will all affect processing capacity.
Regularly inspect the blades, belts, bearings and fasteners, and maintain the machine according to the supplied service schedule.
