Description

Paddock™ diamond core drills are heavy-duty, multi-speed drilling machines designed for wet and dry core drilling through concrete and masonry. Available in 2200W and 3300W models, these drills suit core diameters up to 200mm and 400mm respectively when used with the appropriate drill stand and diamond core bit.

Paddock™ Diamond Concrete Core Drills

Designed for professional concrete and construction applications, Paddock™ core drills combine powerful electric motors with multi-speed oil-filled gearboxes to provide the torque and speed range required for different diameter core bits.

Both models can be used for wet or dry core drilling when fitted with an appropriate diamond core bit and configured for the application. For larger diameter drilling, the machines are designed to be mounted to a compatible Paddock™ core drill stand.

Two Core Drill Models

PCD2200W – 2200W Core Drill: Designed for drilling cores up to 200mm diameter. Its higher rotational speeds make it suitable for smaller and medium diameter core drilling applications. For stand-mounted drilling, pair with the Paddock™ PCDR250A core drill stand.

PCD3300W – 3300W Core Drill: The larger machine provides increased power and lower operating speeds for larger diameter core drilling up to 400mm. It is compatible with the Paddock™ PCDR350A and PCDR440A drill stands.

3-Speed Gearbox

Each drill incorporates a 3-speed mechanical gearbox, allowing the rotational speed to be matched to the diameter of the core bit being used.

Wet & Dry Core Drilling

Both models are suitable for wet and dry core drilling when used with the appropriate diamond core bit and drilling setup.

For wet drilling, the integrated water connection allows water to be supplied to the cutting area to assist with cooling and removal of drilling slurry. For dry drilling, use a diamond core bit specifically designed for dry operation together with appropriate dust extraction equipment.

Always select the drilling method, core bit and operating speed to suit the material being drilled and the bit manufacturer's recommendations.

Motor Protection & Slip Clutch

Soft-start control provides a more controlled start-up, while electronic overload protection helps protect the motor during demanding drilling applications.

A mechanical slip clutch provides additional drivetrain protection if the core bit binds or jams. Correct drilling technique and appropriate machine setup remain essential, particularly when drilling larger diameter cores.

Choosing the Correct Core Drill

The PCD2200W is well suited to general concrete core drilling where hole diameters up to 200mm are required. For larger commercial drilling applications and core diameters up to 400mm, select the higher-powered PCD3300W with a compatible drill stand.

Maximum drilling diameter depends on correct machine setup, suitable core bit selection, material being drilled and appropriate drilling technique.

Important: Before drilling, check for concealed electrical cables, plumbing, gas lines, post-tension cables and other embedded services. Use an appropriate drill stand for applications requiring stand-mounted operation and follow the supplied operating and safety instructions. Wet drilling requires appropriate electrical protection and water-management procedures.
