Description

The Paddock™ 90L Industrial Cyclone Dust Separator is designed to reduce the amount of dust reaching an industrial vacuum during concrete grinding, cutting, drilling and other dust-generating applications. Installed between the tool and vacuum, the cyclone separates a large proportion of airborne dust and debris before it reaches the vacuum filter.

With a stated dust separation efficiency of greater than 90%, a heavy-duty 90L steel collection drum and wheeled design, the PIVSP90 is a practical addition to compatible industrial dust extraction systems.

Paddock™ Industrial Cyclone Dust Separator

The Paddock™ PIVSP90 is a 90L cyclone pre-separator designed for use with compatible industrial vacuum and dust extraction systems.

The separator is installed in the suction line before the vacuum. Airflow generated by the connected vacuum creates a cyclonic action inside the separator, causing much of the heavier dust and debris to drop into the collection drum before the airflow continues to the vacuum.

Reducing the amount of material reaching the vacuum can help reduce filter loading, extend cleaning intervals and maintain more consistent extraction performance during demanding applications.

Industrial Dust Separator Features

  • 90L collection capacity
  • Stated dust separation efficiency greater than 90%
  • Operates using airflow from the connected vacuum – no separate power supply required
  • Heavy-duty powder-coated steel collection drum
  • 50mm push-on inlet connection
  • 70mm quick-connect outlet
  • 70mm quick-connect to 50mm push-on adaptor supplied
  • 115cm connecting hose included
  • Four heavy-duty castor wheels
  • Integrated castor brakes
  • Three over-centre lid catches
  • Sealed removable lid
  • Designed for straightforward emptying and maintenance
  • 12 month warranty

How a Cyclone Dust Separator Works

The separator is connected between the dust-producing equipment and the industrial vacuum. No separate motor or electrical supply is required for the separator itself.

Airflow from the vacuum enters the separator and creates a cyclonic vortex. Centrifugal action causes much of the heavier dust and debris carried in the airflow to separate and fall into the 90L collection drum.

The remaining airflow then continues from the separator to the connected vacuum.

Reduce Dust Loading on Vacuum Filters

Capturing a large proportion of material before it reaches the vacuum can significantly reduce the amount of dust that the vacuum's filtration system needs to handle.

Depending on the dust type, equipment and operating conditions, this can help:

  • Reduce vacuum filter loading
  • Extend intervals between filter cleaning
  • Reduce the amount of material entering the vacuum collection system
  • Maintain more consistent airflow during operation
  • Reduce the workload placed on the primary dust extractor

The actual separation efficiency and effect on vacuum performance will vary with particle size, airflow, hose arrangement, connected equipment and the vacuum being used.

90L Steel Collection Drum

The separator incorporates a large 90L powder-coated steel collection drum, providing useful capacity for demanding workshop and construction applications.

The removable lid is held in place by three heavy-duty over-centre catches and incorporates seals to help maintain the vacuum within the separator during operation.

When the drum requires emptying, the catches provide straightforward access without the need to dismantle the cyclone assembly.

Mobile Worksite Design

Four heavy-duty castors make the separator easy to reposition around workshops and worksites. Each castor incorporates a brake, allowing the unit to be secured in position during use.

At approximately 17kg, the separator can be moved between work areas while still providing a substantial 90L collection capacity.

Hose Connections & Vacuum Compatibility

The separator uses a 50mm push-on inlet and 70mm quick-connect outlet.

A 70mm quick-connect to 50mm push-on adaptor is supplied, along with a 115cm connecting hose with 50mm push-on fittings at both ends. This allows the separator to be integrated with a range of compatible industrial vacuum and dust extraction setups.

Before purchase, check the hose and connection sizes of your existing vacuum and equipment. Additional adaptors may be required for equipment using different port sizes.

Ideal for Dust-Producing Equipment

The Paddock™ cyclone separator can be incorporated into compatible dust extraction systems used with equipment such as:

  • Concrete floor grinders
  • Concrete polishers
  • Concrete saws and cutting equipment
  • Concrete scarifiers
  • Core drills and diamond drilling equipment
  • Surface preparation equipment
  • Other compatible construction and workshop equipment producing dry dust and debris

Important Dust Extraction Considerations

A cyclone separator is a pre-separator and does not replace the filtration system of the connected industrial vacuum or dust extractor. Always use a vacuum and filtration system appropriate for the dust generated by the application.

Dust separation performance depends on factors including particle characteristics, airflow, hose length and diameter, system restrictions and the connected vacuum.

Regularly inspect and empty the collection drum to maintain effective airflow and separation performance.
