316L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter Housing – 10", 20" & 40"
Description
Heavy-duty 316L stainless steel cartridge filter housings for water, beverage and compatible liquid filtration applications. Available in 10", 20" and 40" configurations, these housings accept commonly available 10" x 2.5" filter cartridges, allowing the filtration media and micron rating to be selected for the application.
Each housing features 1" BSP female inlet and outlet connections, a quick-access clamp ring lid, 1/4" BSP bottom drain and included mounting bracket.
316L Stainless Steel Cartridge Filter Housing
These cartridge filter housings provide a robust filtration solution for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Manufactured from SUS 316L stainless steel, they offer excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for a wide range of compatible water, beverage and process-fluid filtration applications.
Three housing sizes are available, accepting one, two or four standard 10" x 2.5" filter cartridges depending on the selected model.

10", 20" & 40" Filter Housing Options
The range is available in three capacities:
- SSS10FH: Accepts 1 x 10" x 2.5" filter cartridge
- SSS20FH: Accepts 2 x 10" x 2.5" filter cartridges
- SSS40FH: Accepts 4 x 10" x 2.5" filter cartridges
Using the common 10" x 2.5" cartridge format provides access to a wide range of replacement filter media and micron ratings from filtration suppliers.
Choose the Filter Cartridge for Your Application
The filter housing itself provides the pressure vessel and plumbing connections, while the installed cartridge determines the filtration performance.
Commonly available 10" x 2.5" cartridges include sediment filters in a range of micron ratings as well as activated carbon and other specialised filter media.
Depending on the selected cartridge, filtration systems can be configured for applications involving sediment, particulate matter, taste and odour reduction or other application-specific filtration requirements.
Filter cartridges are not included and are not stocked by Scintex. Compatible 10" x 2.5" cartridges are widely available through filtration, plumbing and hardware suppliers.
316L Stainless Steel Construction
The housing is manufactured from SUS 316L stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability across a broad range of compatible filtration applications.
Stainless steel construction also makes these housings suitable for installations where greater temperature resistance, mechanical durability or UV resistance is required compared with many conventional plastic filter housings.
For chemical, saline or other potentially corrosive fluids, confirm compatibility of the housing, seals, filter cartridge and all associated components with the specific fluid and operating conditions before use.
Quick-Access Clamp Ring
The upper section of the housing uses a clamp ring design for convenient access during filter cartridge inspection and replacement.
The clamp is released using the thumb nut, avoiding the need for the specialised housing spanner commonly required with threaded plastic filter housings.
Bottom Drain Connection
A 1/4" BSP drain connection is provided at the bottom of the housing. This can be used to drain fluid from the housing before cartridge servicing.
The supplied connection can also be incorporated into a suitable drain valve and pipe arrangement where required by the installation.

Filter Cartridge Selection
Filter cartridges are available from third-party suppliers in numerous micron ratings and filter media. Select the cartridge according to the fluid being filtered, required contaminant removal, desired flow rate and acceptable pressure drop.
Note: Filter cartridges are not included with the housing.
