Paddock™ Diesel Fuel Pre-Filter & Water Separator – 30 Micron

Description

The Paddock™ Diesel Fuel Pre-Filter & Water Separator provides an additional stage of fuel filtration upstream of the vehicle or machine's existing OEM fuel filter. Using a 30 micron replaceable element, it helps remove larger particulate contamination and separate water from diesel before the fuel reaches the primary filtration system.

The clear lower bowl allows collected water to be visually monitored and drained, while the replaceable filter element makes routine servicing straightforward.

Paddock™ Diesel Fuel Pre-Filter & Water Separator

Contaminated diesel can introduce both particulate matter and water into a fuel system. Installing a pre-filter provides an additional filtration stage before fuel reaches the vehicle or equipment's existing OEM filter.

The Paddock pre-filter uses a 30 micron replaceable element to capture larger particles, while separated water collects in the clear lower bowl where it can be visually inspected and drained as required.

Staged Diesel Fuel Filtration

This pre-filter is designed to be installed upstream of the existing OEM fuel filter. The 30 micron element removes larger particulate contamination and separates water before the fuel reaches the finer downstream filtration system.

This staged approach can reduce the contaminant load reaching the OEM filter while providing an accessible first-stage filter that can be inspected and serviced when required.

Clear Water Separation Bowl

Separated water collects in the clear lower bowl, allowing the condition of the fuel to be visually monitored during routine inspections.

When water or contamination is present, the bowl can be drained using the lower drain. The filter element can also be replaced as part of routine servicing or following significant fuel contamination.

Installation

The filter includes an integrated mounting bracket and is designed for installation in the diesel fuel supply line before the existing OEM fuel filter.

Multiple inlet and outlet positions provide flexibility when routing fuel hoses. The unit is supplied with 2 x 3/8" BSP hose tail fittings and 2 x plugs.

Ensure sufficient space is provided beneath the filter for servicing. The specified element removal clearance is 254mm.

Replacement Filter Element

The filter uses the 31863 replacement element. Carrying a spare element can be useful for vehicles and equipment operating in remote locations or where replacement parts may not be readily available.

Important Installation Information

This filter is intended for diesel fuel systems only and is not suitable for petrol.

Before installation, confirm that the filter's maximum flow rate, maximum pressure, connection arrangement and filtration specification are suitable for the engine and fuel system.

Installation should maintain correct fuel flow direction and must not introduce restrictions, air leaks or other conditions that could adversely affect the engine's fuel supply. Follow the engine, vehicle or equipment manufacturer's requirements when modifying the fuel system.
