Single and Dual Battery Isolation Switches

Battery isolation switches are good practice to use wherever you plan to run heavy electrical cable from your battery to a device. They're popular in the marine industry and allow the onboard batteries to be electrically isolated from the downstream loads. Automotive applications are similar and also allow users to isolate power to a device or section of the vehicle at the flick of a switch.

An isolation switch is ideal for ensuring your batteries aren't drained by small downstream loads during periods of idle time and can also be used to shut off power in an emergency situation. 

A good quality battery isolation switch should be manufactured from high quality materials so it lasts and performs under demanding situations. These switches are manufactured by one of the world's largest switch manufactures and are extremely well proven and tested. High quality UV stabilised plastics ensures the switch doesn't become brittle and crack like cheaper imitations. Heavy duty springs and genuine brass studs and contacts ensure a firm and trouble-free switch actuation when the rotary knob is turned.

The switches come in two options, single battery isolation or dual battery isolation. The dual battery model allows the user to isolate or supply power from battery 1 or battery 2 or battery 1&2 combined. 

The isolation switch's red rotary knob on the front of each model also acts as a removable key that users can remove to help prevent unwanted tampering to the switch position.

The switches have removable cable access panels making cable routing from any direction neat. The switch can also be 'flush' mounted or 'surface' mounted thanks to the removable rotary knob design.
