Description

The Paddock™ 12HP Walk Behind Flail Mower is a heavy-duty self-propelled mower designed for controlling long grass, weeds and light scrub across paddocks, orchards, fence lines and overgrown areas.

Powered by a 12HP Loncin petrol engine, the mower combines a 900mm cutting width with 23 sets of flail knives and two forward travel speeds. Its walk-behind configuration provides access to areas where larger ride-on or tractor-mounted equipment may be impractical.

900mm Flail Cutting System

The mower uses a 900mm flail rotor with 23 sets of flail knives. As the rotor turns, the individual flails cut and mulch vegetation within the mower housing.

This cutting system is well suited to rougher vegetation including long grass and weeds where a conventional finishing mower may not be appropriate.

The enclosed flail-mower design can also help contain cut material and reduce debris projection compared with more exposed cutting systems. Operators must still inspect the work area for rocks, wire and other foreign objects and maintain appropriate clearance from people, animals and property while mowing.

12HP Loncin Petrol Engine

Power is supplied by a 12HP Loncin petrol engine with a stated output of 9.0kW at 3,600rpm.

A 6.5L fuel tank provides capacity for extended property-maintenance work without requiring frequent refuelling.

Self-Propelled Two-Speed Drive

The self-propelled wheel-drive system provides two forward travel speeds to suit different mowing conditions.

• 1st gear: approximately 30m/min
• 2nd gear: approximately 50m/min

The slower setting can be used where vegetation is heavier or additional control is required, while the higher speed allows faster travel in suitable mowing conditions.

Specifications

Pre-Start Information

Engine oil: The engine is stored and transported with only enough oil for internal lubrication. Engine oil must be added and the oil level checked before starting the engine. Refer to the supplied manual for the correct oil specification and pre-start procedure.

Operating Safety

Before mowing, inspect the work area and remove rocks, wire, branches and other foreign objects where practical. Flail mowers can eject debris if foreign objects enter the cutting chamber.

Keep people and animals clear of the operating area, use appropriate personal protective equipment and operate the mower in accordance with the supplied manual.
