The Paddock™ Commercial Stump Grinder is a heavy-duty walk-behind machine designed for landscapers, arborists, contractors and property maintenance. Powered by a 420cc Briggs & Stratton 2100 Series commercial petrol engine, it combines a 300mm cutting depth, tungsten-carbide cutting teeth, twin V-belt drive and operator controls designed for efficient stump removal.

Paddock™ Commercial Stump Grinder

Built for demanding stump removal, the Paddock™ Commercial Stump Grinder combines a commercial-series Briggs & Stratton engine with a heavy-duty cutting system and robust powder-coated steel frame.

The walk-behind design allows the cutting wheel to be progressively swept across the stump, removing material above and below ground level. A stated maximum cutting depth of approximately 300mm / 12" provides the ability to grind well below the surrounding surface where conditions allow.

Rotatable Tungsten-Carbide Cutting Teeth

The cutting wheel is fitted with 8 heavy-duty tungsten-carbide cutting teeth designed for demanding stump grinding.

Each tooth can be rotated to provide up to three usable cutting edges. When one cutting edge becomes worn, the tooth can be repositioned to expose another edge, helping extend usable tooth life before replacement is required.

The teeth are individually replaceable for straightforward ongoing maintenance.

300mm Cutting Depth

The stump grinder has a stated maximum cutting depth of approximately 300mm / 12", allowing stump material to be progressively removed below ground level.

Actual grinding rate and achievable depth will depend on stump size, timber species, root structure, soil conditions, cutter condition and operator technique.

Twin V-Belt Drive & Centrifugal Clutch

A twin V-belt drive transfers engine power to the cutter wheel. The centrifugal clutch provides automatic engagement as engine speed increases and disengages as engine speed is reduced.

This arrangement provides a simple mechanical drive system while helping isolate the cutting system from the engine at low speed.

Operator Control & Stability

The adjustable handle allows the operating position to be configured to suit the user and working conditions.

A lever-operated drum brake provides wheel control and helps stabilise the machine while the cutting wheel is being swept across the stump.

Large 13" tubeless pneumatic tyres assist with manoeuvring the machine around worksites and across suitable uneven terrain.

Paddock™ Commercial Stump Grinder Specifications

Before First Use

Engine oil must be checked and filled to the correct operating level before starting. Engines are transported with only sufficient residual oil for storage and transport protection and must not be assumed to contain the correct quantity for operation.

Minor assembly is required before first use. Inspect all fasteners, guards, cutting teeth, belts and controls and ensure the machine is correctly assembled before starting the engine.

Stump Grinding Tips

For efficient grinding, remove excessive dirt, rocks and other debris from around the stump before beginning. Work progressively across the stump rather than forcing the cutter deeply into the timber in a single pass.

Allow the cutting teeth to do the work and regularly inspect them for wear or damage. Rotating the teeth to expose a fresh cutting edge when required can help maintain cutting performance and maximise usable tooth life.
