Lawn & Turf Rolling Applications
The Paddock™ lawn roller is suitable for everything from home lawn care through to commercial landscaping and property maintenance. The wide 122cm roller helps cover ground efficiently, while the fillable steel drum allows the operator to adjust the working weight to suit the application.
The standard clevis-style hitch allows the roller to be connected to a wide range of suitable towing equipment including ATVs, quad bikes, ride-on mowers and compact tractors.
Preparing Ground Before Seeding
Rolling can help level loose soil before sowing grass seed by reducing small high spots, breaking down loose clods and creating a more consistent surface.
After seeding, light rolling can also help improve seed-to-soil contact, which can assist germination when used appropriately for the soil type and conditions.
Installing New Turf
A lawn roller can be particularly useful when laying new turf or sod. Rolling after installation helps press the turf against the prepared soil surface, reducing air gaps and improving contact between the turf roots and the ground below.
Maintaining Existing Lawns
Lawns and landscaped areas can develop small bumps, ruts and uneven sections over time due to foot traffic, machinery, animals and ground movement. Periodic rolling can help smooth minor surface irregularities and improve the overall appearance of the area.
Care should be taken not to over-roll wet or soft soils, as excessive compaction can negatively affect lawn health.
Heavy Duty Steel Construction
The Paddock™ lawn roller uses a heavy duty steel drum with a black powder coated finish for durability. The drum can be filled with water or sand to increase the working weight, then emptied when a lighter roller or easier transport and storage is required.
