Why Choose a Hot Water Pressure Washer?
Hot water can dramatically improve cleaning performance when dealing with grease, oil, fats and other stubborn contamination.
The combination of high pressure, strong water flow and elevated temperature helps break down contaminants faster than cold water alone. This can reduce cleaning time and improve results in demanding commercial environments.
Typical applications include:
- Heavy machinery cleaning
- Earthmoving equipment
- Truck and transport fleet washing
- Workshop floors
- Mining equipment
- Agricultural machinery
- Grease and oil removal
- Industrial cleaning
- Construction equipment
- Sanitation and wash-down applications
High Pressure & High Flow
Pressure alone doesn't determine how quickly a pressure washer cleans. Commercial cleaning performance comes from having a strong combination of pressure and water flow.
The petrol-powered SPWGX390HOT delivers approximately 3,600 PSI at up to 17.1 L/min, while the diesel-powered SPWDISLLHOT delivers approximately 3,600 PSI at up to 15 L/min.
This combination provides the water volume required to quickly carry loosened dirt, grease and debris away from the cleaned surface.
Low-Speed Gear Reduction Pump
Many lower-cost pressure washers directly couple the engine to the pump, causing the pump to run close to engine speed. While simple, high pump speeds can increase heat and wear under demanding commercial use.
Paddock uses a gear-reduction drive to reduce pump speed to a maximum of approximately 1,560 RPM.
The lower pump speed allows the pump to operate cooler and can significantly improve service life in high-use applications.
Commercial Quality Pressure Pump
The pressure pump uses quality components selected for commercial operation, including:
- Forged brass pump construction
- Ceramic-coated pistons
- Stainless steel valves
- PARKER packing
- Quality bearings
- Zinc alloy connecting rods
- Thermal protection
The pump head thermal protection helps protect against excessive temperature in the event of abnormal operating conditions.
Hot Water Burner System
An onboard diesel or kerosene fired burner heats the pressurised water after it leaves the pump.
The burner system uses a 12V control circuit to manage ignition and operating temperature. A simple temperature control allows the operator to select the required water temperature for the cleaning application.
Under suitable operating conditions, the burner can increase incoming water temperature by approximately 66°C, with maximum outlet temperatures around 90-93°C depending on model and operating conditions.
The burner also incorporates pressure and temperature protection systems as standard.
Petrol or Diesel Engine Options
Both models provide strong commercial cleaning performance, with the main difference being the engine and associated flow specifications.
Honda GX390 Petrol Model - SPWGX390HOT
The petrol version uses a genuine Honda GX390 13HP commercial 4-stroke engine.
Honda GX engines are widely used in professional equipment due to their proven reliability, strong service network and broad spare parts availability throughout Australia.

Kama Diesel Model - SPWDISLLHOT
The diesel version uses a Kama 188FA 456cc air-cooled diesel engine producing approximately 10.2HP.
Its direct-injection diesel design makes it well suited to users already operating diesel-powered machinery and equipment.

Both engine options include electric key start with recoil backup, giving the operator a manual starting option if the starting battery is discharged.
Integrated Hose Reel
An integrated heavy duty hose reel keeps the high pressure hose organised and protected when the washer isn't in use.
The petrol model is supplied with 15m of 5/16" hose, while the diesel model includes 20m.
The hose is:
- Non-marking
- Double steel wire braided
- Rated to 5,100 PSI
- Rated for temperatures up to 150°C
The reel has additional capacity, allowing longer hose installations where required.
Heavy Duty Hot Water Spray Gun
A professional hot-water rated spray gun is supplied with the washer and is rated to 5,000 PSI.
The heavy duty construction combines brass, stainless steel and reinforced components for regular commercial use.
Colour-Coded Spray Nozzles
Each washer includes the standard pressure washer nozzle selection:
- 0° Red nozzle - concentrated cutting jet
- 15° Yellow nozzle - strong narrow fan
- 25° Green nozzle - general cleaning
- 40° White nozzle - wider washing pattern
- Black detergent nozzle - low-pressure chemical application
Turbo Nozzle Included
A 5,000 PSI turbo head is also included.
A turbo nozzle combines the concentrated cleaning effect of a narrow jet with a rapidly rotating spray pattern, allowing a larger surface area to be cleaned while retaining aggressive cleaning performance.
Turbo heads are particularly useful for:
- Concrete cleaning
- Mud removal
- Mildew removal
- Heavy equipment washing
- Hard-surface cleaning
Heavy Duty Galvanised Frame
The pressure washer is built on a galvanised steel frame with a powder-coated finish for improved corrosion resistance and durability.
The four-wheel layout provides stability and mobility around workshops, construction sites and industrial facilities.
An integrated lifting point makes loading the washer onto utilities, trailers and site vehicles easier.

Petrol or Diesel - Which Model Should I Choose?
Choose the Honda petrol model if:
- You want genuine Honda commercial engine reliability
- You value broad servicing and spare parts availability
- You want the higher 17.1 L/min water flow rate
- Petrol is readily available at your site
Choose the diesel model if:
- Your machinery fleet already runs on diesel
- You want to minimise the number of fuel types stored on site
- You prefer diesel-powered equipment for industrial or agricultural work
- The 15 L/min flow rate suits your cleaning requirements
Important Hot Water Operation
The maximum water temperature depends on the temperature of the incoming water and the operating flow rate.
The burner is specified to provide a temperature rise of approximately 66°C above incoming water temperature, subject to operating conditions and the maximum outlet temperature of the machine.
For example, incoming water at 20°C may be heated to approximately 86°C under suitable operating conditions.
Maintenance
Routine servicing will help maximise the life of the pressure washer.
- Check engine oil before use
- Inspect pump oil where applicable
- Check high-pressure hose for damage
- Inspect spray gun and fittings
- Keep water inlet filters clean
- Maintain the burner and fuel system
- Check nozzle condition
- Inspect frame and wheels
- Follow engine and pump service intervals
Important Initial Setup
Engine oil must be checked and filled to the correct level before first use. Engines are stored and transported with only enough oil to provide protection during shipping and must not be started until the correct oil level has been confirmed.
Some assembly is required before operation due to the way the pressure washer is packed for storage and transport.
