All-Flo Aluminium Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps – 435 & 719 L/min
Description
Made in the USA, these All-Flo Aluminium Air Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps provide a robust pneumatic pumping solution for industrial, agricultural, workshop, mining and general fluid-transfer applications.
Available in 1-1/2" and 2" models with stated maximum flow rates of 435L/min and 719L/min, the pumps feature aluminium construction, self-priming operation, solids handling and an externally serviceable air distribution system.
All-Flo Aluminium Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps
Air operated double diaphragm pumps use compressed air to alternately drive two interconnected diaphragms. This creates alternating suction and discharge strokes, allowing fluid to be transferred without an electric drive motor.
The aluminium-bodied All-Flo range is available in two sizes:
- A150 – 1-1/2" ports, up to 435L/min
- A200 – 2" ports, up to 719L/min

How an AODD Pump Works
Compressed air is directed alternately behind each diaphragm. Because the two diaphragms are mechanically connected by a common rod, movement of one diaphragm causes corresponding movement of the other.
As one diaphragm moves through its suction stroke, the inlet ball valve opens and fluid is drawn into the pump chamber. At the same time, the opposite diaphragm moves through its discharge stroke and forces fluid from the other chamber through the discharge valve.
The air valve then reverses the process. This alternating action continues for as long as a suitable compressed-air supply is provided.
Self-Priming Pneumatic Pump
The AODD design provides strong suction performance without requiring an electrically driven pump motor.
Maximum stated suction performance is:
| Performance | A150 | A200 |
|---|---|---|
| Max. Static Suction Head | 7.0m H₂O | 7.0m H₂O |
| Max. Suction Lift – Dry | 6.4m H₂O | 7.4m H₂O |
| Max. Suction Lift – Wet | 9.4m H₂O | 9.7m H₂O |
Actual suction performance will depend on the fluid, pump configuration, air supply, suction plumbing and installation conditions.
Typical Applications
Depending on the exact wetted-material configuration and fluid compatibility, these pumps can be used across applications including:
- General fluid transfer
- Motor and lubricating oils
- Diesel transfer where the selected pump configuration is compatible
- Vegetable oils
- Drum and container transfer
- Water and dewatering
- Tanker unloading
- Mining and industrial transfer
- Ink and printing applications
- Dosing and process transfer
- Agricultural and workshop applications
Fluid & Chemical Compatibility
Fluid compatibility must be checked against the exact wetted materials fitted to the pump before use.
Available construction options shown in the supplied specifications include combinations of:
- Geolast®
- PTFE
- Santoprene®
- Buna-N
- EPDM
- Viton® / FKM
- Polypropylene
- Nylon
- Aluminium
- Stainless steel
Not every material listed above is necessarily fitted to every pump configuration. Confirm the actual diaphragm, ball, seat and O-ring materials for the selected model when fluid compatibility is critical.
Petrol / gasoline: Although some individual materials may be chemically compatible with petrol, the supplied product information states that this pump is not certified for petrol transfer and is therefore not recommended for this application.
Compressed Air Operation
The pump requires a suitable compressed-air supply, with a stated minimum operating pressure of approximately 20psi, subject to pump and diaphragm configuration.
Increasing the supplied air pressure and airflow increases the pump cycling rate and can increase fluid flow, subject to the pump performance curve and installation conditions.
Maximum inlet air pressure is 120psi / 8.2bar.
A suitable air regulator is recommended to control operating pressure and keep the pump within its rated limits. Flow can also be controlled by regulating the air supply to the pump.
A150 – 1-1/2" Pump Performance
The A150 has a stated maximum flow of 435L/min. Actual flow depends on air pressure, discharge pressure and installation conditions. Refer to the supplied performance curve when selecting the pump for a particular duty point.
A200 – 2" Pump Performance
The A200 has a stated maximum flow of 719L/min. Refer to the supplied performance curve for flow at the required operating pressure.

Suggested Installation
Use a correctly sized and regulated compressed-air supply and select suction and discharge plumbing to suit the required flow rate. Refer to the applicable performance curve rather than using maximum flow as the expected flow under pressure.
Always confirm chemical compatibility between the pumped fluid and the exact wetted-material configuration before operation.
