240V Submersible Dewatering Pumps – Up to 310 L/min, 20m Head
Description
Compact 240V submersible dewatering pumps from Paddock™ and Tsurumi, designed for construction dewatering, pits, basements, pools, drainage and general water transfer. Choose from general-purpose high-flow models delivering up to 310 L/min or a high-head Paddock model capable of up to 20m maximum discharge head.
Manual and automatic level-control options are available, with robust semi-vortex/open impellers, dual silicon carbide mechanical seals, thermal motor protection and anti-wicking cable entry.
240V Submersible Dewatering Pumps
These compact single-phase submersible pumps provide a practical solution for dewatering and general water transfer. Despite their relatively small size, the range offers maximum flow rates up to 310 L/min, with a dedicated high-head model available for applications requiring greater discharge pressure or elevation.
Suitable applications include construction sites, pits, excavations, basements, pools, wells and general drainage where water containing small suspended solids needs to be removed.

General Dewatering & High-Head Options
The range includes pumps for two different performance requirements.
General-purpose dewatering models prioritise higher flow rates and are well suited to rapidly moving water from pits, excavations, pools and other drainage applications.
The Paddock SPSP0450N high-head model provides a lower maximum flow rate of 110 L/min but increases maximum discharge head to 20m. This makes it better suited to applications involving greater vertical lift or higher system resistance.
Maximum flow and maximum discharge head occur at different operating points. Actual pump performance will depend on vertical lift, hose diameter and length, fittings and other restrictions in the discharge system.
Manual & Automatic Pump Options
Depending on the model, manual or automatic level-controlled operation is available.
Automatic models use water-level control to start and stop the pump as the water level changes. This is useful for unattended drainage applications where water may periodically enter a pit or collection area.
- SPSP0450F: Automatic float control
- SPSP0450N: Manual operation
- LB-480A: Automatic operation, starting at approximately 115mm water level
- LB-800: Manual operation
- LB-800A: Automatic operation, starting at approximately 170mm water level
Adjustable Discharge Outlet
The adjustable hose outlet allows the discharge direction to be configured to better suit the installation.
The hose can be directed vertically when operating in a narrow pit or adjusted towards a horizontal discharge where this provides a better hose path. This can help reduce unnecessary bends and kinking immediately after the pump outlet.
Designed for Dewatering
The semi-vortex/open-type impeller design allows the pumps to handle water containing suspended particles up to 6mm, making them suitable for general dewatering applications where the water may not be completely clean.
These are dewatering pumps rather than trash or sludge pumps. Avoid pumping fluids containing solids larger than the specified limit or heavy concentrations of abrasive sediment, sludge or debris.
Typical Applications
- Construction site dewatering
- Excavations and trenches
- Basements and flooded areas
- Pits and sumps
- Pool drainage
- Well and tank drainage
- Stormwater removal
- General water transfer

Pump Performance
The performance curve below can be used to compare pump flow against discharge head. Select the pump based on the required flow at the expected operating head rather than maximum flow or maximum head alone.
