12V & 24V Diesel Transfer Pump Kit – 57 L/min
Description
High-flow 12V and 24V diesel transfer pump kits designed for transferring diesel from drums, tanks and other compatible fuel storage systems. These self-priming rotary vane pumps deliver up to 57 L/min and feature an integrated bypass valve, built-in filter and IP55 motor enclosure.
12V & 24V Diesel Transfer Pump Kit – 57 L/min
Designed for mobile and remote diesel transfer applications, these 57 L/min electric pumps are available in both 12V and 24V DC versions. Power can be supplied from a suitable vehicle or battery system, making the pumps well suited to agricultural, construction, workshop and equipment refuelling applications.
The self-priming rotary vane pump incorporates an internal bypass valve and built-in filter, while the pump kit provides the components required for setting up a practical diesel transfer system.

12V & 24V Pump Options
Both voltage versions provide the same maximum rated flow of 57 L/min. Electrical current draw differs between models, with the 12V pump rated at 35A and the 24V pump rated at 30A.
The electrical supply, wiring and connections must be capable of safely supplying the required current at the pump. Undersized cables or poor electrical connections can result in voltage drop, reduced pump speed and lower flow.
Self-Priming Rotary Vane Pump
The rotary vane pump is self-priming and is capable of initially lifting diesel through an empty suction line with a maximum height difference of approximately 2m when the pump body has been wetted with fuel.
A foot valve is recommended to help retain fuel within the suction line and keep the pump primed between uses. For best performance, the difference in height between the pump and fuel level should be kept as small as practical.
The manufacturer does not recommend installing the pump more than approximately 3m above the fuel level.
Hose Requirements
The pump uses 1" inlet and outlet connections. For installation, the manufacturer recommends a minimum 1" nominal suction hose and a minimum 3/4" nominal delivery hose.
The suction hose must be suitable for operation under suction pressure and should be kept as short and unrestricted as practical. Excessive hose length, undersized hose, restrictive fittings or clogged filters can reduce pump performance.
Internal Bypass Valve
An integrated bypass valve allows the pump to operate briefly while the delivery outlet is closed, such as when a dispensing nozzle is shut during refuelling.
Do not operate continuously in bypass. Closed-outlet operation must be limited to approximately 2–3 minutes maximum before dispensing resumes or the pump is switched off.
Duty Cycle
These pumps are designed for intermittent operation. Maximum continuous operating time is 30 minutes, after which the pump should be switched off and allowed to cool for 30 minutes before further operation.
Diesel Fuel Compatibility
The pump is specified for diesel fuel with a viscosity of approximately 2–5 cSt at 37°C and a minimum flash point of 55°C.
Do not use with petrol. The pump is also not approved for liquids with a flash point below 55°C, liquids above 20 cSt viscosity, water, food products, corrosive chemicals or solvents.

Important Operating Information
- Do not operate the pump continuously for more than 30 minutes.
- Allow approximately 30 minutes cooling time between operating cycles.
- Do not operate in bypass with the delivery closed for more than approximately 2–3 minutes.
- Do not dry run the pump for more than 30 seconds.
- Do not use for petrol or other liquids outside the manufacturer's permitted fluid specification.
- Keep the pump filter and any additional suction filters clean to maintain flow performance.
Note: Actual flow will depend on suction lift, hose length and diameter, dispensing nozzle, filters, fittings, electrical supply and overall system resistance.
