Paddock Backpack Mister Blower Duster Power Sprayer
Description
The Paddock™ Backpack Mister, Blower, Duster & Power Sprayer is a petrol-powered agricultural applicator designed for spraying liquids, misting crops and foliage, and dispersing suitable powders or granular products. Its backpack design makes it highly portable and well suited to farms, orchards, gardens, acreage properties and larger treatment areas.
A powerful 2-stroke engine drives a high-speed air stream while an integrated pump delivers liquid to the adjustable spray nozzle. This combination allows the unit to project mist approximately 12m horizontally and 9.5m vertically, making it especially useful for treating tall vegetation and dense foliage.

Product Demonstration
Three-in-One Agricultural Applicator
This unit can be configured for several different application styles, making it a versatile tool for farming, horticulture and property maintenance.
- Spraying: Applies water-based herbicides, pesticides, insecticides and other compatible liquid solutions.
- Misting: Uses the high-speed air stream to carry fine droplets over greater distances and into dense foliage.
- Dusting / Granular Application: Suitable compatible powders or granules can be fed into the air stream for broad-area distribution.
High-Speed Air Assisted Spraying
The petrol engine drives a high-speed fan similar in principle to a powerful leaf blower. At the same time, an integrated pump supplies liquid from the 14L tank to the spray head.
Fine droplets are introduced into the air stream and carried away from the operator, allowing greater reach than a conventional low-pressure backpack sprayer.
This makes the unit particularly useful when treating:
- Orchards
- Fruit trees
- Vines
- Dense shrubs
- Broad-acre vegetation
- Fence lines
- Hard-to-reach foliage
Excellent Vertical Reach
The Paddock design incorporates a pumped liquid feed rather than relying solely on gravity.
This allows the discharge tube to be directed upwards while continuing to supply liquid to the nozzle, giving an approximate vertical misting range of 9.5m.
Horizontal reach is approximately 12m under suitable operating conditions.
Actual range will vary with engine speed, liquid flow setting, nozzle adjustment and wind conditions.
Liquid Spraying Applications
The power sprayer can be used with compatible water-based products for applications including:
- Herbicide application
- Pesticide and insecticide application
- Weed control
- Orchard and crop misting
- Dense foliage treatment
- Garden and landscape spraying
- Livestock spraying where the chemical label permits
- Sanitising and disinfecting using compatible approved products
Always confirm the chemical is suitable for use in a petrol-powered mist blower and follow the product label directions.
Powder & Granular Dispensing
The unit can also disperse suitable dry powders and granular products.
A dedicated gate allows dry material to enter the fan casing where it is carried into the air stream for distribution.
Approximate maximum application rates are:
- Up to 6kg/min for suitable powder products
- Up to 20kg/min for suitable granular products
Actual output depends on particle size, density, flow characteristics and adjustment settings.
An anti-static device is incorporated to help reduce static build-up during dry-product application.
Operator Controls
Engine speed and chemical flow can be adjusted from the hand controls while the unit remains on the operator's back.
This allows the user to change application rate or air output while moving between different treatment areas without repeatedly stopping and removing the machine.
14L Chemical Tank
The integrated chemical tank holds approximately 14L.
The tank is manufactured from chemical-resistant polymer and includes a large filling opening for easier refilling, inspection and cleaning.
An internal filter helps reduce the risk of debris reaching the spray system and blocking the nozzle.
Adjustable Liquid Flow
Liquid application rate can be adjusted between zero and approximately 4.5 L/min.
The standard nozzle produces droplets in the approximate range of 52-72 micron, depending on operating conditions and settings.
This is a larger-droplet misting system and should not be confused with a true ULV thermal or cold fogger.
Backpack Design
At approximately 10kg dry, the unit is designed to be worn using the supplied dual shoulder harness.
The backpack arrangement keeps the machine portable while leaving the operator free to direct the discharge tube towards the required treatment area.

Mosquito Barrier Treatments
The Paddock power sprayer may be suitable for applying certain residual insecticides, including some Bifenthrin products, where the chemical label specifically permits this type of application.
Because this sprayer produces larger droplets than a ULV fogger, it can be suited to applying residual barrier treatments to foliage and exterior surfaces.
Always follow the insecticide label. Mixing rates, target pests, application rates, re-entry requirements, personal protective equipment and residual performance vary between products and formulations.
Do not use a pesticide in this sprayer unless its label permits the intended application method.
Important Chemical Use Information
Chemical compatibility: Confirm the liquid or dry product is compatible with the tank, seals, hoses and application system before use.
Follow the label: The pesticide or herbicide label takes precedence over general application guidance.
Wear appropriate PPE: Use the protective equipment specified by the chemical manufacturer.
Avoid drift: Do not spray in conditions where wind may carry chemical onto people, livestock, neighbouring properties, waterways or sensitive vegetation.
Clean after use: Flush and clean the chemical system after operation according to the chemical and equipment instructions.
Assembly
The unit requires minor assembly prior to use. Allow approximately 10-20 minutes for initial setup.
