Remote Controlled RC Mowers

An RC mower is particularly useful on steep slopes, embankments, dam walls, roadsides, around solar farms and in overgrown areas where riding or walking directly behind a machine would expose the operator to rollover, slipping, debris or vegetation hazards. Remote operation creates separation from the cutting unit, but it does not eliminate risk. The operator still needs a clear escape route, good visibility and control of bystanders.
Compare the manufacturer’s rated slope capability, machine width, weight, track design, cutting system, engine power and vegetation capacity. A slope rating is not a guarantee for every site: wet grass, loose soil, hidden holes, side loading and dense scrub can substantially reduce traction and stability. Choose a machine with suitable reserve capacity and assess the ground before mowing.
Capability depends on the deck, blade or flail system and the maximum material size specified for the model. Heavy-duty machines can handle dense grass, weeds and light scrub, but hidden wire, rocks, stumps and steel can damage the cutting system and create projectiles. Inspect the area first, reduce travel speed in heavy vegetation and never exceed the rated cutting capacity.
The machine should be operated only with its specified remote and safety systems functioning correctly. Before work, test emergency stop, loss-of-signal response, blade disengagement and travel controls in a clear area. Maintain line of sight where required, keep the remote charged and stop work if response becomes delayed or unreliable. Never approach the machine until all cutting and track movement has stopped.
Inspect blades or flails, belts, bearings, tracks, rollers, guards, fasteners, antennas, emergency stops and remote batteries before use. Clean vegetation from the cooling system and undercarriage, maintain correct track tension and service the engine and hydraulics to schedule. Replace missing or uneven cutting components in balanced sets and investigate unusual vibration, signal faults, overheating or poor tracking immediately.
