Description
The Sherpa 4x4 Alloy Recovery Hitch provides a dedicated recovery attachment point for vehicles fitted with a standard 2" (50 x 50mm) hitch receiver. CNC machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with a black hard-anodised coating, it is designed for use with compatible soft shackles and rated recovery shackles.
With a stated 4,500kg rated capacity and a large, smooth-radius recovery eye, this hitch provides a purpose-designed connection point for appropriately configured vehicle recovery systems.

Designed for 4WD recovery applications, the Sherpa Alloy Recovery Hitch fits into a standard 2" vehicle receiver and provides a strong, smooth recovery eye for attaching compatible recovery equipment.
The hitch is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, providing high strength while keeping weight relatively low. A black hard-anodised surface treatment provides additional wear and corrosion resistance.

Purpose-Designed Recovery Point
A vehicle tow ball should not be used as an attachment point for snatch or kinetic recovery. Tow balls are not designed for these recovery loads and failure can create a dangerous projectile.
Vehicle transport or tie-down points should also not be assumed to be rated recovery points unless specifically identified and rated for that purpose by the vehicle manufacturer.
The Sherpa recovery hitch is designed to fit a compatible 2" receiver and provide a dedicated attachment point for vehicle recovery equipment.
6061-T6 Aluminium Construction
The hitch is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and features a hard-anodised black surface finish for increased resistance to wear and corrosion.
The recovery eye incorporates a smooth radius, making it suitable for use with compatible soft shackles as well as appropriately rated recovery shackles.
Rated & Destructive Testing
The Sherpa Alloy Recovery Hitch has a stated rated capacity of 4,500kg and has undergone destructive testing in excess of 20,000kg.
The destructive test result is not the working or rated capacity of the hitch. Never exceed the 4,500kg rated capacity or the rated capacity of the vehicle receiver, hitch pin or any other component in the recovery system.

Important Recovery Information
- Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's receiver hitch rating.
- Never exceed the 4,500kg rated capacity of the recovery hitch.
- Use a quality, appropriately rated 5/8" steel alloy hitch pin.
- Ensure the hitch pin is correctly installed and secured before recovery.
- Recovery loads should be applied in line with the hitch.
- Do not bind or excessively side-load the recovery hitch or shackle.
- Inspect the hitch, receiver, pin and recovery equipment before each use.
- Do not use equipment that is damaged, distorted or excessively worn.
