Description
The YANMAR YDG Diesel Generator range combines genuine YANMAR diesel engines with automatic voltage regulation, RCD circuit protection and a heavy-duty open-frame design. Available in 3.0kVA and 4.2kVA continuous-output models, these generators are suited to backup power, farms, workshops, construction sites and other portable power applications.
Both models feature electric and recoil starting, dual 15A 240V outlets, a 12V DC charging output and a 13L fuel tank for extended operation.
YANMAR YDG Diesel Generators
Built around genuine Japanese YANMAR L-Series diesel engines, the YDG range provides portable 240V power for demanding applications.
The YDG3700N delivers 3.0kVA continuous output, while the larger YDG5500N provides 4.2kVA continuous output. Both operate at 3000rpm and incorporate automatic voltage regulation and RCD circuit protection.

YANMAR Diesel Engine
The YDG3700N is powered by a YANMAR L70N 320cc diesel engine, while the YDG5500N uses the larger YANMAR L100N 435cc diesel engine.
Both engines operate at 3000rpm and use YANMAR direct-injection diesel technology.

Selecting the Correct Generator
When selecting a generator, consider both the normal running power and the starting or surge requirements of the equipment being connected. Motors, pumps, compressors and some power tools can require substantially more power during startup than during normal operation.
The combined load should remain within the generator's rated output, with sufficient capacity available for equipment startup requirements.
Important Generator Safety
Engine-driven generators produce carbon monoxide and must only be operated outdoors in a well-ventilated location, positioned away from doors, windows and other building openings.
Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and applicable electrical safety requirements. Any connection of a generator to fixed building wiring must be carried out using an appropriate changeover arrangement and by a suitably qualified person.
