PTO Pumps

Use your tractors power take off unit to drive a pump. Not more motor and engine failures. Tractors PTO's are extremely high torque and provide a reliable alternative to other pump drive methods.

Our PTO pump range includes the tractor PTO pump, the pulley driven gear pump and the tractor PTO molasses oil pump. All pumps are portable, capable of high flow rates and are fantastic for farming and other applications. 

Use you existing tractors reliable diesel engine to power these PTO pumps.

A PTO pump uses a tractor or machinery power take-off to drive fluid transfer or hydraulic functions without a separate engine or electric motor. It suits agricultural, firefighting, irrigation and mobile pumping applications where compatible PTO power is available. The pump must match the intended fluid, required flow and pressure, PTO speed and driveline arrangement.
Confirm the tractor’s PTO speed, rotation direction, shaft size, available horsepower and the pump’s rated operating range. The coupling or gearbox must fit correctly without side loading or excessive driveline angle. Also check whether the application requires a torque arm, reaction bracket, reservoir, relief valve or other installation components.
Pump output is directly affected by shaft speed. Operating below the rated PTO speed reduces flow, while excessive speed can cause overheating, cavitation, seal wear or mechanical failure. Use the tractor speed and gearing specified for the pump, verify actual PTO speed where possible and never exceed the manufacturer’s maximum input speed.
Some PTO pumps are suitable for extended operation, but only within their rated speed, pressure, temperature and duty limits. Continuous use requires adequate fluid supply, correct cooling or oil capacity and unobstructed flow. Monitor for heat, noise, vibration, leakage and cavitation, and stop the system if operating conditions become abnormal.
Inspect the shaft connection, torque restraint, seals, hoses, fittings and mounting before use. Maintain the correct hydraulic or gearbox oil where applicable, keep strainers clean and protect the pump from running dry. Grease couplings as specified and investigate leakage, unusual noise, loss of flow or excessive heat before further operation.
