Description
The Paddock Walk Behind Tractor is a compact, self-propelled farming machine designed for market gardens, small farms, greenhouses, orchards and properties where a conventional tractor is too large or difficult to manoeuvre.
Available with either a genuine Briggs & Stratton petrol engine or a KAMA diesel engine, the tractor combines a heavy duty multi-speed transmission, locking differential and PTO quick-hitch system with a range of useful attachments for ploughing, tilling, soil preparation and material transport.

Heavy Duty Multi-Speed Transmission
The tractor is built around a purpose-designed oil-filled mechanical gearbox with three forward and two reverse speeds.
Forward speeds are approximately:

Reverse speeds are approximately:
- 1.0 km/h
- 2.3 km/h
The lower gears provide high torque for demanding operations such as ploughing and tilling, while the higher gear provides faster travel when relocating the tractor between work areas.
Manual Locking Differential
A manual locking differential is fitted as standard.
With the differential unlocked, the drive wheels can rotate at different speeds, making the tractor easier to steer around trees, garden beds and tight corners.
When additional traction is required, the operator can lock the differential so both wheels receive drive together. This can be useful in loose soil, uneven ground and demanding cultivation applications.
990 RPM PTO with Quick Hitch
The tractor incorporates a 990 RPM Power Take Off which drives compatible attachments such as the rotary plough and rotary tiller.
The PTO uses a quick-hitch connection system designed to make attachment changes straightforward.
A locking pin secures the attachment to the tractor, allowing users to change implements without complex mounting procedures.
Adjustable & Reversible Operator Controls
The handlebar assembly can be configured to suit different operating situations.
The operator can:
- Walk directly behind the tractor
- Offset the handlebars to one side
- Rotate the control assembly 180°
The offset position is useful when cultivating prepared soil because the operator can walk beside the worked area rather than directly over it.
Rotating the controls 180° allows the tractor to operate in the opposite direction for attachments designed around the reverse configuration.
Walk Behind Tractor Attachments
Rotary Plough
The rotary plough is a PTO-driven attachment designed for breaking new ground, loosening compacted soil and turning over existing garden beds.
Rather than finely processing the soil like a rotary tiller, the rotary plough moves and throws larger amounts of soil to the side.
Typical working depth is approximately 150-300mm, depending on soil conditions and setup.
The rotary plough can be useful for:
- Breaking compacted soil
- Opening new vegetable beds
- Creating raised beds and mounds
- Working around fruit trees
- Improving drainage
- Breaking up weed-covered ground
Fixed Plough
The fixed plough is a simple, non-PTO attachment which uses the traction of the driven wheels to pull a pointed V-shaped plough through the soil.
It is well suited to opening rows, loosening compacted soil and preparing planting lines without extensively mixing the soil.
Typical penetration depth is approximately 200mm.

Rotary Tiller
The rotary tiller is PTO driven and designed to cultivate and mix the upper soil layer.
Available in two widths, the tiller typically works the top 100-150mm of soil and can assist with:
- Breaking up soil
- Mixing fertiliser
- Incorporating organic matter
- Preparing seed beds
- Improving aeration
- Improving water penetration
- General garden preparation
Working height is adjustable using the incorporated adjustment mechanism.

Walking Tractor Trailer
The optional trailer converts the walking tractor into a compact transport vehicle for moving supplies around the farm or property.
The trailer is rated to carry up to approximately 300kg and can be used for:
- Soil
- Fertiliser
- Stock feed
- Tools
- Harvested produce
- General farm supplies
A storage box also provides a seated position for travelling between work areas.
The trailer features a manual tipping function to assist unloading, while the side and rear gates can fold down to create a flat deck.
The trailer uses a free-running axle and does not require the tractor PTO.

Petrol or Diesel Engine Options
The walking tractor is available with two engine choices.
Briggs & Stratton Petrol - SPWKTRACP
The petrol model uses a genuine Briggs & Stratton 13HP engine.
This is a strong choice for users wanting a proven commercial petrol engine with straightforward servicing and parts support.
KAMA Diesel - SPWKTRACD
The diesel model uses a KAMA 186FE 10HP diesel engine.
Diesel operation can be attractive for farms and commercial users who already operate other diesel-powered machinery and prefer to minimise the number of fuel types stored on site.
Both versions are air cooled and use the tractor's reduction gearbox to convert engine power into strong low-speed torque at the wheels.
Electric & Recoil Starting
Both engine options are supplied with:

- Recoil backup starting
- Starting battery
This provides convenient key starting during normal use while still allowing the engine to be manually started if the battery is discharged.

Important Initial Setup
Engine and gearbox oil must be checked and filled to the correct levels before first use.
The machine is transported with only enough oil to provide protection during storage and shipping and must not be operated until the required oil levels have been confirmed.
Some assembly is required before operation due to the way the tractor is packaged for transport.
