Description
The Scintex Crane Hook Scales are portable digital weighing scales designed for suspended loads in workshops, warehouses, farms, factories and industrial applications. Available in capacities from 1,000kg through to 15,000kg, these scales combine a heavy duty forged hook and shackle with an easy-to-read digital display.
Battery operation makes the scales easy to move between locations, while simple calibration, hold functions and large display digits make them practical for everyday weighing tasks.

Portable Heavy Duty Weighing
These digital crane scales are designed to provide a practical weighing solution wherever a suspended load can be safely lifted from an appropriate hook or lifting point.
The scales are relatively compact and portable while still offering capacities suitable for demanding industrial and agricultural applications.

Large Easy-to-Read Display
The scales use a large digital display with approximately 31mm high digits, making readings easy to view from a practical working distance.
A green backlight assists visibility in different lighting conditions, while adjustable backlight brightness helps conserve battery power when full illumination is not required.
Battery Powered Operation
The 1,000kg model operates from AA batteries, while the 3,000kg to 15,000kg models use a 6V 4.5Ah battery system.
Battery life can be up to approximately 200 hours depending on usage, backlight settings and operating conditions.
Remote Control
The 3T, 5T, 10T and 15T models include an infrared remote control, allowing common scale functions to be operated without reaching the scale directly.
The 1,000kg SCS1000P model does not include an IR remote.
Heavy Duty Construction
The scale body is constructed from heavy duty aluminium and incorporates a forged hook and shackle for suspended weighing applications.
The hook can rotate through 360 degrees, helping with positioning and alignment of the suspended load.
Calibration
Scintex crane scales are supplied calibrated and ready for use.
The calibration settings are accessible, allowing the scale to be recalibrated if required using suitable known test weights and the correct procedure.
Note: Scintex does not supply these scales with a NATA-accredited calibration certificate. Where a NATA-recognised calibration certificate is required for a particular workplace, quality system or regulatory purpose, the scale should be calibrated by an appropriately accredited calibration provider.

Capacity & Increment Guide
Selecting the Correct Crane Scale
Choose a model with a maximum capacity comfortably above the heaviest load you intend to weigh.
Where finer measurement resolution is important, select the lowest-capacity model that still provides sufficient headroom for the expected load.
For example, a 1,000kg scale provides 0.5kg increments, while the larger 10T and 15T models use 5kg increments.
Important Safety Information
Do not exceed the rated capacity: Never apply a load greater than the stated maximum capacity of the scale.
Suspended loads: Never stand or work beneath a suspended load. Ensure the lifting equipment, attachment points, shackles, hooks and supporting structure are all suitably rated for the load.
Inspection: Check the hook, shackle, scale body and lifting equipment for damage or excessive wear before use.
Weighing only: The crane scale should form only one part of a correctly rated lifting system and should be used in accordance with applicable lifting and workplace safety procedures.
