Description

Albright International DC Contactors UK Albright Winch Solenoids

Genuine Albright winch solenoids and contactors designed for controlling high-current DC motors in electric winch applications. Available in DC88P, DC66P and SW80P configurations, with options suitable for Sherpa 4x4 and ATV winches as well as other compatible DC motor installations.

Albright manufactures specialist DC contactors, with compact designs well suited to demanding automotive, 4WD and winching applications.

Genuine Albright Winch Motor Solenoids & Contactors

Albright DC contactors are widely used for controlling the high electrical currents required by electric winch motors.

The DC88P and DC66P are bi-directional motor reversing contactors, allowing a compatible winch motor to operate in both directions for winch-in and winch-out operation.

The correct contactor should be selected according to the winch motor configuration, system voltage, current requirements and electrical connections.

Selecting the Correct Winch Solenoid

When replacing an existing winch solenoid or contactor, do not select a replacement based solely on the winch's rated pulling capacity.

Check the following before ordering:

  • 12V or 24V electrical system
  • Winch motor configuration
  • Required current capacity
  • Contactor function and wiring arrangement
  • Main terminal size
  • Control wiring configuration
  • Physical mounting space

The suggested winch-load ranges shown above provide a general selection guide. Final compatibility should be confirmed against the winch motor and electrical system.

Data Sheets

Refer to the Albright data sheets for detailed dimensions, electrical characteristics and duty-cycle information.

Important: Disconnect the vehicle battery before working on winch power wiring. High-current winch circuits should use correctly sized cables, secure connections and appropriate electrical protection for the installation.
