Description

Trolltek™ 36V 100Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery with Bluetooth

Built for demanding marine, trolling motor and off-grid applications, the Trolltek™ 36V 100Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery delivers 3840Wh of energy in a single 36V battery system.

With an integrated Bluetooth BMS, IP68-rated enclosure, 100A continuous charge and discharge capability and a 5-year warranty, it is particularly well suited to compatible 36V trolling motors and other high-demand 36V applications.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Trolltek™ batteries are designed for demanding operating environments with reinforced internal construction supporting the cells and wiring for improved stability and durability.

IP68 Enclosure & Pressure-Equalisation Vent

The fully sealed enclosure carries a stated IP68 rating and incorporates a waterproof pressure-equalisation vent.

The vent assists with pressure equalisation while maintaining protection against dust and water ingress in accordance with the stated enclosure rating.

Note: The IP68 rating should not be interpreted as a recommendation to routinely operate or store the battery submerged. Installation should still protect the battery, terminals and connected electrical equipment from unnecessary exposure to water.

Long Cycle Life

Trolltek™ uses new UL-certified pouch cells designed for long service life when correctly charged, discharged and stored.

  • Up to 80% capacity retention at 3,000 cycles under recommended conditions
  • Cells stated as capable of 6,500+ cycles at 50% depth of discharge

Actual battery life and retained capacity will depend on depth of discharge, charge rate, discharge load, temperature, storage conditions and overall usage.

Bluetooth Battery Management System

The integrated Bluetooth BMS allows battery information to be monitored using the Trolltek app on compatible iPhone and Android devices.

The app provides access to useful battery information including state of charge, voltage, usage and operating data.

The Trolltek app is supplied as a free download with no advertising or subscription fees.

The integrated Battery Management System provides active monitoring and protection functions including:

  • Cell balancing
  • Low-voltage protection
  • High-voltage protection
  • Over-temperature protection
  • Short-circuit protection

High Charge & Discharge Capability

The 36V 100Ah battery supports:

  • 100A maximum continuous discharge
  • 280A maximum pulse current
  • 100A maximum continuous charging

This provides substantial current capability for compatible trolling motors and other high-demand 36V electrical systems.

Always ensure the connected equipment, cabling, protection devices and charging system are correctly sized for the battery and application.

36V Trolling Motor Battery

The Trolltek™ 36V 100Ah battery is a popular choice for compatible 36V electric trolling motors, including selected models from:

  • Minn Kota
  • MotorGuide
  • Rhodan

Using a single 36V battery can also simplify installations that would otherwise require multiple lower-voltage batteries connected in series.

Always confirm the trolling motor manufacturer's voltage, current and battery requirements before installation.

Operating Temperature

The supplied operating temperature range is -20°C to 60°C.

Charging is not recommended below 0°C.

Maximum stated storage temperature is 45°C, and this battery is not recommended for under-bonnet installation.

The supplied battery information includes:

  • Transport testing / certification information supplied for Trolltek lithium batteries
  • UL1642-certified cells
  • Cells tested to IEC62133

Lithium batteries are subject to specific transport requirements. Applicable requirements should be confirmed for the particular freight method and destination.

Charging & Installation

Use a charging system with a suitable 36V LiFePO4 charging profile and ensure charging voltage and current remain within the battery manufacturer's specifications.

Correct cable sizing, circuit protection, secure terminals and appropriate installation practices are important for high-current lithium battery systems.

Do not install under the bonnet or in locations where the battery may be exposed to temperatures exceeding its stated limits.
