Cattle Prodders are used to encourage stubborn or difficult cattle to move, often through holding yards, crush pens or up ramps onto trucks. The prodder delivers a high voltage pulse at a very low amperage of current, making it safe to use for the operator and the animal. 

These prodders are simple to use, when the button is pressed, a high voltage pulse is delivered to the two prongs at the end of the unit. Lightly touching these pulsing prongs against the animal achieves the best results.

Power and Performance

Key to a prodder's performance is maintaining a stable power supply to the circuit board that generates the high voltage pulse. These prodders offer exceptional performance and an incredible operating life thanks to the integrated high power rechargeable battery. Lithium-ion battery technology surpasses all others and offers low weight, high energy storage and fast charge times, making it perfect for these prodders. Additionally, lithium-ion batteries don't lose charge in storage as quickly as other battery types meaning the prodder will be ready for use when you need it. Users will easily get a full day of heavy use from a single charge and in most cases where the prodder is used infrequently, users will get months of performance between charges.

The prodder generates a pulse that averages over 8,000 volts which is sure to get the most stubborn cattle moving. The pulse is extremely short in duration making it safe for the animal. 

Note, it is not recommended persons with a heart medical condition or a pacemaker use this device. 

Engineered Design

These units are low weight and ergonomically designed to sit inside the operator's hand comfortably. Farmers will find these units a pleasure to handle compared to older heavier conventional battery prodders.

The prodder housing is water resistant and easy to clean with a damp cloth as necessary. The housing is made from a robust ABS/PVC material making it perfect for the harsh Australian conditions.

Over time the prodder tips can wear and need replacing, the design allows for replacement of the shaft/prong section in seconds.
