Paddock™ Concrete Vibrator Poker & Flexible Shaft Assembly – 6m / 9m
Description
The Paddock™ Concrete Vibrator Poker Assembly combines a heavy-duty flexible drive shaft with a concrete poker head for consolidating freshly placed concrete. Available with 6m or 9m flexible shafts and a choice of 38mm or 45mm poker heads, the assembly is suitable for a wide range of concrete pours.
The industrial 50mm (2") 3-claw dog coupling provides a quick mechanical connection to a compatible concrete vibrator drive unit.
Important: This listing is for the flexible shaft and poker assembly. Drive unit / engine is not included.
Paddock™ Concrete Vibrator Poker & Flexible Shaft Assembly
Designed for professional concreting applications, the Paddock flexible shaft and poker assembly transfers mechanical power from a compatible vibrator drive unit to the poker head immersed in freshly placed concrete.
The range offers 38mm and 45mm poker heads combined with either a 6m or 9m heavy-duty flexible drive shaft, allowing the assembly to be selected according to the pour, access requirements and required reach.
Concrete Vibrator Poker Features
- 6m or 9m flexible drive shaft options
- 38mm or 45mm poker head options
- Heavy-duty flexible shaft construction
- 50mm (2") 3-claw dog coupling
- Quick mechanical connection to compatible drive units
- Suitable for professional construction and concreting applications
- 1 year warranty
Concrete Consolidation
Vibrating freshly placed concrete helps consolidate the mix by removing trapped air and assisting the concrete to flow around reinforcement, into corners and against formwork.
Correct concrete vibration can help:
- Remove trapped air
- Reduce voids caused by inadequate consolidation
- Improve concrete contact around reinforcement
- Assist concrete to flow into corners and confined areas
- Reduce the likelihood of honeycombing
Correct vibration technique is important. Excessive or inappropriate vibration can also affect the concrete, so operators should follow suitable concreting practices for the mix and application.
38mm & 45mm Poker Options
Choose between 38mm and 45mm poker heads to suit the application.
The 38mm poker provides a smaller-diameter option where access around reinforcement or within formwork is more restricted, while the 45mm poker provides a larger option for suitable pours.
6m & 9m Flexible Shaft Options
The assembly is available with either a 6m or 9m flexible drive shaft.
The longer shaft options provide useful reach for applications such as slabs, walls, retaining structures, columns and other pours where the drive unit needs to remain away from the immediate work area.
3-Claw Quick-Connect Coupling
The flexible shaft uses an industrial 50mm (2") 3-claw dog coupling for connection to a compatible concrete vibrator drive unit.
Confirm the drive unit uses the correct coupling type and dimensions before ordering for equipment other than compatible Paddock drive units.
Typical Applications
- Concrete slabs
- Footings and foundations
- Retaining walls
- Columns and formed walls
- Construction and civil works
- Concrete contractors

Compatibility
This assembly is designed for use with compatible concrete vibrator drive units using the 50mm (2") 3-claw dog coupling system.
When fitting to another brand or model of drive unit, confirm the coupling dimensions and drive compatibility before ordering.
Operating Considerations
Select a poker diameter appropriate to the pour, formwork and reinforcement spacing. During operation, avoid sharp bends or excessive strain on the flexible drive shaft.
Do not operate the poker outside the concrete for extended periods. Use appropriate vibration techniques and follow the instructions for the concrete mix, vibrator assembly and connected drive unit.
