Description
The Paddock™ Diesel Trash Water Pumps are heavy-duty engine-driven pumps designed for transferring dirty water containing suspended solids and debris. Available in 3" and 4" models, these pumps deliver flow rates up to 78,000L/hr and can handle solids up to 27mm depending on the model.
Both models feature diesel engines with electric key start and recoil backup, an easy-access pump casing for inspection and clearing debris, transport wheels and an included 12V starter battery.
Paddock™ Diesel Engine Trash Water Pumps
Designed for demanding dirty-water transfer applications, these Paddock trash pumps combine high-volume centrifugal pumps with robust single-cylinder diesel engines.
The trash-pump design allows the pumps to handle water containing suspended solids and debris, making them suitable for applications such as construction sites, farms, property drainage, dewatering and emergency water transfer.

Heavy-Duty Dirty Water Pumping
Unlike clean-water transfer pumps, these trash pumps are designed to pass larger suspended solids through the pump.
The STPD080 3" model can handle solids up to approximately 25mm, while the larger STPD100 4" model can handle solids up to approximately 27mm.
This makes the pumps suitable for dirty-water applications where leaves, sediment and other small debris may be present.
Easy-Access Pump Casing
The wet-end pump casing can be opened to provide access to the impeller and internal pump components. This makes inspection and clearing trapped debris easier when operating in dirty-water environments.
High-Volume Water Transfer
The two models provide different flow and solids-handling capabilities:
- STPD080 – 3": up to 58,000L/hr with up to 25mm solids handling
- STPD100 – 4": up to 78,000L/hr with up to 27mm solids handling
The STPD080 provides up to 25m maximum discharge head, while the STPD100 provides up to 24m.
Note: Maximum flow and maximum discharge head are separate operating points and should not be expected simultaneously. Actual pump performance will depend on suction lift, discharge head, hose size, hose length, fittings and other system losses.
Electric Start Diesel Engines
Both pumps are powered by single-cylinder, vertical, 4-stroke direct-injection diesel engines.
The STPD080 uses a stated 10HP 186 diesel engine, while the larger STPD100 uses a stated 12HP 192 diesel engine.
Both models feature electric key starting with recoil backup. This provides the convenience of electric starting while retaining a manual starting option if the starter battery is discharged.
Portable Pump Package
Despite their heavy-duty construction, both pump packages incorporate transport wheels to assist with positioning around worksites, farms and properties.
A protective frame surrounds the engine and pump assembly, while the included 12V battery powers the electric starting system.
Typical Applications
- Construction site dewatering
- Farm and property drainage
- Dirty-water transfer
- Flood water removal
- Dam and pond water transfer
- Emergency water movement
- General site dewatering
Optional Hoses & Fittings
Suitable suction hose, discharge hose, layflat hose, strainers, foot valves, camlock fittings and clamps are available separately to configure the pump for your application.

Operating Considerations
Use an appropriately sized suction hose and inlet strainer and ensure all suction-side connections are airtight. Prime the pump correctly before starting and do not operate the pump dry.
Although these pumps are designed to handle dirty water and suspended solids, they should not be used to intentionally pump objects larger than the specified 25mm or 27mm solids-handling capacity.
Run time per tank is approximate and will vary with engine load and operating conditions.
