Description
The Gespasa 12V / 24V Diesel Transfer Pump is a heavy duty, continuous-duty fuel transfer pump designed for bulk diesel transfer where mains power is not available. Delivering approximately 70-80 L/min free flow, these pumps are ideal for refuelling machinery, transferring fuel between tanks and servicing remote agricultural, construction and industrial equipment.
Unlike many low-voltage diesel pumps that are limited by short duty cycles, the Gespasa AG-90 range uses a 0.37kW continuous-duty motor running at approximately 1,500 RPM. This allows extended transfer operation without the frequent cooling periods required by many conventional 12V and 24V pumps.

Continuous-Duty 12V & 24V Fuel Transfer
One of the key advantages of this pump range is its continuous-duty motor rating.
Many compact 12V and 24V fuel pumps are designed for intermittent operation and require cooling periods after extended use. This can become frustrating when transferring large volumes of diesel or refuelling machinery with large tanks.

Sliding Vane Pump Design
The pump uses a sliding vane design which provides good self-priming capability while maintaining useful discharge pressure.
The pump can achieve approximately 2.7m suction lift and a maximum discharge head of approximately 20m under suitable operating conditions.
Integrated Internal Bypass Valve
An internal recirculation bypass valve is incorporated into the pump.
If an automatic fuel nozzle is closed while the pump is still operating, the bypass allows diesel to circulate internally rather than forcing the pump against a completely closed discharge.
This is particularly useful during normal refuelling when the operator may need a short period to move between the pump switch and the filling point.
The bypass is intended for short-term operation only. Do not leave the pump running against a closed nozzle for extended periods. Continued recirculation transfers energy into the diesel, increasing fuel and pump temperature and potentially reducing seal and component life.
Low-Speed Continuous-Duty Motor
The Gespasa pump uses a 0.37kW self-ventilated motor operating at approximately 1,500 RPM.

Installation Tips for Maximum Flow
High-flow fuel pumps are sensitive to restrictions, particularly on the suction side. For best performance:
- Keep the suction hose as short as practical
- Use adequately sized suction and discharge hose
- Avoid unnecessary elbows and restrictive fittings
- Ensure suction connections are completely airtight
- Use filters and flow meters sized for at least the pump's maximum flow
- Use correctly sized electrical cable to minimise voltage drop
- Mount the pump as close to the fuel source as practical
Electrical Installation
These pumps draw considerably more current than small portable fuel pumps, particularly the 12V version.
Long or undersized power leads can cause voltage drop, reducing pump performance and increasing motor heating.
Ensure the installation uses correctly rated cables, connections, switches and circuit protection appropriate for the pump model and cable length.
Important Operating Notes
