Immersion heater element kits which include heater enclosure and digital thermostat with temperature probe.
These heating elements are specifically designed with a low heat density. This means while the output of the heater element is still 800W or 2400W the surface of the element does not get as hot as other elements. This helps prevent degradation of the fluid being heated. Having a low heat density makes these heaters ideal for heating biodiesel and vegetable oils which require a low heat density to prevent chemical degradation which leads to high levels of free fatty acids. Customers have used these heating elements for a variety of applications such as heating waxes and heavy oils, bee's wax, engine oils, fats and a variety of other non flammable substances. All Immersion Heaters are supplied with 2" BSP fitting and a 1m, 3 prong power lead. WARNING: Never heat methanol or ethanol above 55°C.
Each heater has a element length and a active length. The active length is the section of the element which actually heats up. Having the active length shorter then the overall element length helps to minimise the heat transfer from the element to the mounting flange and also allows for the element to be top mounted in some vessels. It is important the active length always remains submerged in liquid during operation to prevent the element from overheating and being damaged.

Extremely well made unit! Programmable controller is very accurate. Just note you need to wire the plug onto the lead.
