Electric DC Oil Pump
Description
The Electric DC Oil Pump is a heavy duty 12V or 24V gear pump designed for transferring lubricating oils including engine oil, hydraulic oil, sump oil and vegetable oil. Its reversible operation makes it especially useful for mechanics, diesel fitters, workshops and field service vehicles where oil needs to be pumped both out of and back into engines, gearboxes, generators and machinery.
With a flow rate of up to 10L/min and compatibility with oils up to approximately 500 cSt / 3,000 SUS, this compact pump provides a practical solution for mobile and workshop oil transfer applications.

Ideal for Oil Transfer & Servicing
This pump is particularly useful in service and maintenance applications where oil needs to be transferred quickly and cleanly.
Typical applications include:
- Engine oil transfer
- Sump oil removal
- Hydraulic oil transfer
- Gearbox and transmission oils within the viscosity limit
- Generator servicing
- Machinery maintenance
- Workshop oil dispensing
- Mobile service vehicles
- Vegetable oil transfer where material compatibility is suitable
Reversible Pump Operation
A key advantage of this pump is its reversible operation.
This allows the operator to use the same pump to remove oil from equipment and then reverse the pumping direction when refilling or transferring the oil elsewhere.
For mechanics and diesel fitters, this can simplify service work on engines, generators and machinery by reducing the need to set up separate pumps for draining and filling.
Positive Displacement Gear Pump
The pump uses a positive displacement gear design with sintered steel gears.
Gear pumps are well suited to lubricating oils because they provide consistent flow and can handle higher-viscosity fluids more effectively than many centrifugal pump designs.
The simple internal construction also makes inspection and cleaning straightforward if servicing is required.
Suitable for Oils up to 500 cSt
The pump is suitable for compatible oils with viscosities up to approximately 500 cSt / 3,000 SUS.
This covers many common engine, hydraulic and lubricating oils.
Oil viscosity changes significantly with temperature. Cold oil can be considerably thicker than warm oil, so actual flow rate may reduce when pumping higher-viscosity or colder fluids.
Clean or Filtered Oil Only
Important: This pump is designed for use with clean or filtered oils.
Because it is a close-tolerance gear pump, solid contamination or metallic particles can become trapped between the gears and pump body. This may stall the pump and cause the electrical fuse to blow.
For best reliability, installation of an inline suction strainer or filter is recommended.
Integrated Bypass Valve
A bypass valve is incorporated into the pump body to provide protection during temporary periods of restricted discharge flow.
The bypass should not be relied upon for extended operation with the outlet closed. Prolonged recirculation can generate heat and unnecessarily load the pump and motor.
Simple 12V or 24V Installation
The pump is available in either 12V or 24V DC versions, making it suitable for installation on service vehicles, trucks, machinery, boats and other mobile equipment.
Battery connection cables and a fuse are included for straightforward installation.
Ensure the electrical supply, cable size and connections are suitable for the selected pump voltage and current demand.

Important Operating Notes
Filtration: Use with clean or filtered oil only. An inline suction strainer or filter is recommended to protect the pump gears from contamination.
Viscosity: Higher-viscosity and colder oils will reduce pump flow and increase motor load.
Duty cycle: The approximate 30-minute duty cycle should be observed. Allow the pump to cool between extended transfer periods.
Dry running: Avoid prolonged dry running as the pumped oil assists with lubrication of the internal gear components.
Fluid compatibility: Confirm the oil or fluid is compatible with the pump materials before use.
