Description
The 40 L/min DC Diesel Transfer Pump is a compact and practical fuel transfer pump designed for diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, light oils and other compatible low-viscosity lubricants. Available in 12V or 24V DC, it is ideal for mobile refuelling, farm use, marine applications, workshops and remote locations where mains power is not available.
Simply connect the pump to a suitable battery or DC power supply and use it for transferring fuel between drums, tanks, machinery and vehicles.

Self-Priming Rotary Vane Pump
The rotary vane design provides good self-priming performance and smooth fuel transfer while remaining compact and easy to handle.
The pump can achieve a suction lift of approximately 2m under suitable operating conditions.
For best performance, keep the suction hose as short as practical and ensure all suction-side fittings are airtight.

The pump is rated to approximately 40 L/min, making it suitable for general-purpose diesel transfer and refuelling applications.

Integrated Bypass Valve
An internal bypass valve is built into the pump body.
This allows fuel to recirculate within the pump for short periods if the discharge is temporarily closed, such as when using a dispensing nozzle.
Do not leave the pump operating in bypass for extended periods. Continuous recirculation can cause the fuel and pump to heat, potentially reducing seal and component life.
12V or 24V DC Operation
The pump is available in both 12V and 24V versions, making it suitable for a wide range of vehicles, machinery and mobile equipment.
The included 2m electrical leads and alligator clips allow quick connection to a suitable DC battery supply.
Ensure the electrical supply, wiring and connections are adequately rated for the pump and are in good condition before use.
IP55 Motor Protection
The self-ventilated motor carries an IP55 protection rating, helping protect the motor from dust ingress and water jets when used and installed correctly.
The integrated on/off switch and carry handle make the pump easy to operate either as a portable unit or as part of a fixed installation.

Duty Cycle
This pump has an approximate 30 minute duty cycle.
It is therefore best suited to intermittent refuelling and transfer applications rather than continuous bulk transfer for extended periods.
After prolonged operation, allow the motor to cool before restarting where required.
Installation Tips
- Keep suction hose short and adequately sized
- Ensure suction fittings are airtight
- Use hose and fittings compatible with diesel fuel
- Minimise unnecessary bends and restrictions
- Use a suitable filter where fuel cleanliness is uncertain

Important Operating Notes
No petrol: This pump must not be used with petrol or gasoline.
Duty cycle: The pump is rated for approximately 30 minutes of operation at a time and is not a continuous-duty pump.
Bypass: The internal bypass valve is intended for short-term use only. Do not leave the pump running against a closed discharge for extended periods.
Fluid compatibility: Confirm compatibility before transferring biodiesel blends, oils or other non-standard fluids.
