Alternator & Solar Charging
The charger incorporates separate inputs for the vehicle/start battery and solar array, allowing the house battery to be charged from the vehicle alternator while travelling or from solar power when sufficient solar energy is available.
Source management is handled internally by the charger without requiring external source-selection relays.
Integrated MPPT Solar Controller
The dedicated MPPT solar input accepts a solar open-circuit voltage of 14.5–45V DC. Maximum recommended solar array power depends on the charger model and solar input voltage.
Using a higher-voltage compatible solar array can allow greater charging power while remaining within the charger's specified solar input limits.
Multi-Stage Battery Charging
Selectable charging profiles allow the charger to be configured for Gel, AGM, Flooded, Lithium or a custom programmed battery profile.
Bulk / Boost
The charger supplies the configured charging current until the battery reaches the required absorption voltage.
Absorption
Charging voltage is maintained while charging current progressively reduces as the battery approaches full charge.
Float
The charger reduces and maintains the battery at the configured float voltage while remaining available to support compatible DC loads connected to the battery system.
The charging mode can be configured for either 2-stage or 3-stage operation, with 3-stage charging set as the default.
12V 40A+ DC-DC Charger – EN3DC40+
The EN3DC40+ is designed for 12V house battery systems and provides a default charging output of 40A. Charging current can be selected between 5A and 50A.
Maximum 50A operation is subject to operating conditions. Vehicle input is limited to 50A and the vehicle input voltage must be higher than the output voltage for the charger to achieve the maximum 50A output.
24V 30A DC-DC Charger – EN3DC30-24
The EN3DC30-24 is designed for 24V house battery systems and provides up to 30A charging current. Selectable charging current settings are 5A, 10A, 20A and 30A.
