Enerdrive MPPT Solar Charge Controller with LCD – 20A & 40A, 12/24V
Description
The Enerdrive MPPT Solar Charge Controller range is designed for efficient solar charging in 12V and 24V battery systems. Available in 20A and 40A models, these controllers use Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to maximise available energy from the connected solar array.
With an integrated LCD display, support for lead-acid and lithium batteries, real-time energy statistics, RS485 communication and comprehensive electronic protection, the Enerdrive MPPT range is well suited to RV, marine and off-grid electrical systems.

Advanced MPPT Solar Charging
The Enerdrive MPPT controller continuously tracks the maximum power point of the connected solar array to maximise available charging energy as solar conditions change.
Maximum tracking efficiency is stated at up to 99.5%, while maximum DC/DC conversion efficiency is up to 98.3% for the 20A model and 98.6% for the 40A model.
12V & 24V Battery Systems
The controllers support both 12V and 24V battery systems. With compatible lead-acid batteries, system voltage can be automatically detected.
Important: When a lithium battery is used, system voltage cannot be automatically identified and must be configured appropriately.
Lead-Acid & Lithium Battery Support
The Enerdrive MPPT controller supports compatible lead-acid and lithium battery charging profiles.
When using lithium batteries, the temperature compensation coefficient must be set to 0.
LCD Display & Energy Monitoring
The built-in LCD provides access to operating information and settings, including charging status and real-time energy statistics.
The LCD backlight timeout is adjustable from 0–999 seconds, with the option to leave the backlight continuously on.
RS485 Communication
An isolated RS485 communication interface is included for compatible monitoring and communication applications.

Temperature Protection
The controller can operate at full load within the stated environmental range. When internal temperature reaches approximately 81°C, reduced charging power mode is activated.
Installation Notes
- Confirm that the selected controller is suitable for the battery system voltage and charging requirements.
- Ensure the connected solar array remains within the controller's PV voltage and power limits.
- For lithium batteries, configure the system voltage correctly and set temperature compensation to 0.
- Use appropriately sized cabling and circuit protection for the installation.
- Install the controller in a location suitable for its IP33 ingress protection rating.
