Description
The Paddock™ Heavy Duty Trash Pump range combines genuine Honda GX commercial petrol engines with robust centrifugal pumps designed for dirty water and dewatering applications. Available in 2", 3" and 4" models, the range delivers maximum flow rates from 600 to 2,000 L/min and can handle suspended solids up to 31mm depending on the model.
Ideal for construction sites, excavations, pits, floodwater removal and other demanding dewatering applications where the water may contain dirt, sediment and suspended debris.
Paddock™ Honda Engine Driven Trash Pumps
Designed for demanding dewatering applications, these Paddock™ trash pumps are built to handle water containing larger suspended solids than conventional general-purpose water pumps.
The range includes 2", 3" and 4" models with maximum flow rates from 600 to 2,000 L/min. Heavy-duty wetted components include a high-chrome cast iron impeller, replaceable wear-resistant pump liner and silicon carbide mechanical seal.

Designed for Dirty Water & Dewatering
Trash pumps are designed for applications where the water may contain suspended dirt and debris that would be unsuitable for many conventional clean-water centrifugal pumps.
The SPTP50HX 2" model handles solids up to 20mm, while the SPTP80HX 3" and SPTP100HX 4" models handle solids up to 31mm.
This makes the range particularly useful for construction and site dewatering where water quality can vary significantly during operation.
These pumps are not intended to pass solids larger than the stated limit. Heavy concentrations of thick sludge, fibrous material or other difficult solids may require a pump specifically designed for that service.
High-Chrome Impeller & Wear-Resistant Liner
Dirty-water pumping can expose internal pump components to increased abrasion. To improve durability in these applications, the pumps incorporate a high-chrome cast iron impeller and a wear-resistant liner within the aluminium pump casing.
A silicon carbide mechanical seal is used between the pump and engine, providing a durable sealing arrangement suited to demanding water-transfer applications.
Quick-Access Pump Casing
The pump casing is designed to provide convenient access to the internal flow path for inspection and cleaning.
This is particularly useful with trash pumps, where stones, sticks or other debris can occasionally become lodged inside the pump and require removal before operation can continue.
Genuine Honda GX Commercial Engines
Each pump is powered by a genuine Honda GX commercial-series 4-stroke petrol engine, matched to the requirements of the selected pump size.
- SPTP50HX: Honda GX160 – 4.9hp
- SPTP80HX: Honda GX240 – 8hp
- SPTP100HX: Honda GX340 – 10.9hp
All models use unleaded petrol and feature recoil starting.
Typical Applications
- Construction site dewatering
- Excavations and trenches
- Building foundations
- Pits and sumps
- Floodwater removal
- Stormwater transfer
- Mining and civil works
- Farm and rural water transfer

Selecting the Right Trash Pump
Maximum flow and maximum total head are measured at different operating points. Actual flow will reduce as discharge head and system resistance increase.
When selecting a pump, consider the required flow rate, vertical lift, suction conditions, hose diameter and length, fittings and the maximum size and concentration of suspended solids in the water.
For best suction performance, keep the suction hose as short and direct as practical, ensure all suction connections are airtight and use the supplied strainer to prevent oversized debris from entering the pump.
