High-Pressure DC Pump Applications
These compact diaphragm pumps combine high discharge pressure with the convenience of low-voltage DC power. They can be permanently installed in vehicles, trailers, boats and mobile equipment or used as portable pumps where 12V or 24V power is available.
Popular applications include:
- Agricultural and weed spraying
- Pressure spraying and wash-down systems
- Misting and cooling systems
- Water transfer
- Reverse osmosis and water filtration systems
- Desalination systems
- Marine and boating applications
- Remote stock watering systems
- Caravans, motorhomes and mobile installations
Automatic Adjustable Pressure Switch
Each pump incorporates a pressure switch on the discharge side of the pump. The switch automatically stops the pump when the set pressure is reached and restarts it when system pressure falls.
This is particularly useful in demand-based applications such as spraying. When the spray gun trigger is released, pressure rises and the pump automatically switches off. When the trigger is opened again, pressure falls and the pump restarts.
The pressure switch can also be adjusted within the operating range of the selected pump to better suit the application.
Self-Priming Diaphragm Pump Design
The diaphragm pump design provides excellent self-priming performance with a vertical suction lift of up to 2.7m. Viton and Santoprene™ diaphragms and valves provide durability and corrosion resistance for suitable fluids.
The pumps are compact, lightweight and supplied with connection fittings to simplify installation.
Choosing the Correct High-Pressure Pump
Higher pressure and higher flow are not always better. Correct pump selection is important for reliable operation and long service life.
These are positive-displacement diaphragm pumps. If the outlet, hose, spray gun or nozzle cannot pass the pump's available flow, discharge pressure will rise until the pressure switch activates and stops the pump. As pressure falls, the pump restarts.
If this happens repeatedly in rapid succession, the pump will continuously cycle on and off. Excessive rapid cycling can generate heat and significantly shorten pressure-switch life.
Example: The SPHP200 delivers approximately 10 L/min and is capable of pressures up to 200 PSI. If it is connected to a small spray nozzle that cannot pass close to the pump's available flow, the system may rapidly reach the pressure-switch setting and cause the pump to cycle.
For applications such as weed spraying through a relatively small lance or nozzle, the lower-flow SPHP100 or SPHP160 may therefore be a better choice than the larger SPHP200.
When selecting a pump, consider both the required pressure and required flow rate, along with restrictions created by hoses, fittings, valves and nozzles.

Which Pump Should I Choose?
SPHP100 – 4.5 L/min @ up to 100 PSI:
A good choice for lower-flow spraying, misting and general high-pressure water applications where very high flow is not required.
SPHP160 – 5.5 L/min @ up to 160 PSI:
Provides increased pressure while maintaining a relatively moderate flow rate. Suitable for applications requiring additional pressure without the 10 L/min output of the SPHP200.
SPHP200 – 10 L/min @ up to 200 PSI:
The highest-flow and highest-pressure option in the range. Best suited to systems capable of handling the higher flow rate without excessive restriction or rapid pressure-switch cycling.
Important: Maximum pump pressure should not be used as the sole selection criteria. Always consider the required flow rate and the restrictions created by your hose, fittings, spray gun, nozzle and other system components.
