Description
Paddock™ high-pressure engine-driven water pumps are designed for applications requiring greater discharge head than a conventional transfer pump. Available in 1-1/2", 2" and 3" configurations with Honda petrol or KIPOR diesel engine options, the range delivers maximum heads from 65–80m and maximum flow rates up to 40,000 L/hr.
Paddock™ High Pressure Engine Driven Water Pumps
Designed for water transfer applications where increased pressure and discharge head are required, the Paddock™ high-pressure pump range is suitable for applications such as irrigation, pressure boosting, long-distance water transfer, elevated pumping and appropriately configured fire-response water systems.
The range includes 1-1/2", 2" and 3" pumps with Honda GX commercial petrol engines or a KIPOR diesel engine option.

High Pressure Pump Applications
Compared with a general-purpose transfer pump, these pumps are designed to generate greater discharge head. This makes them useful where water needs to be transferred over longer distances, pumped uphill or supplied to equipment requiring increased inlet pressure.
Typical applications include:
- Farm and property water transfer
- Temporary irrigation systems
- Sprinkler supply
- Pressure boosting
- Long-distance water transfer
- Pumping water to elevated locations
- Tank-to-tank transfer
- Appropriately designed fire-response water systems
Actual pump performance depends on suction conditions, elevation, hose diameter and length, fittings, valves, nozzles and other system restrictions.
Understanding Flow, Head & Pressure
The maximum flow and maximum discharge head specifications represent different operating points on the pump performance curve. Maximum flow is not available at maximum head.
As discharge resistance and elevation increase, available flow will decrease. Pump and hose selection should therefore be based on the required flow at the actual operating head rather than maximum specifications alone.
Honda GX Petrol Engine Options
The petrol-powered models use Honda GX commercial-series four-stroke engines. The 1-1/2" and 2" pumps use the Honda GX200, while the larger 3" model uses the Honda GX390.
The Honda engines are directly coupled to the pump and operate at the speed required for the high-pressure centrifugal pump arrangement.
Diesel Engine Option
A KIPOR single-cylinder diesel engine option is also available on the 1-1/2" high-pressure pump. This model provides the same stated 12,000 L/hr maximum flow and 75m maximum head as the corresponding 1-1/2" GX200 petrol model.
1-1/2" Honda GX200 High Pressure Pump
The 1-1/2" Honda model combines a GX200 petrol engine with a compact high-pressure pump. It provides a maximum stated flow of 12,000 L/hr (200 L/min) and maximum head of 75m, equivalent to approximately 735kPa / 106 PSI at zero flow.
1-1/2" KIPOR Diesel High Pressure Pump
The diesel-powered 1-1/2" model uses a 4.5HP single-cylinder KIPOR engine and provides a maximum stated flow of 12,000 L/hr (200 L/min) with a maximum head of 75m.
2" Honda GX200 High Pressure Pump
The 2" model provides greater flow while retaining the compact Honda GX200 engine. Maximum stated performance is 30,000 L/hr (500 L/min) with a maximum head of 65m, equivalent to approximately 637kPa / 92 PSI at zero flow.
3" Honda GX390 High Pressure Pump
The largest model combines a Honda GX390 petrol engine with a 3" pump inlet and multiple discharge outlets. It provides a maximum stated flow of 40,000 L/hr (approximately 667 L/min) and maximum head of 80m, equivalent to approximately 784kPa / 113 PSI at zero flow.
This model features a 75mm / 3" inlet with discharge connections comprising 1 x 50mm / 2" and 2 x 40mm / 1-1/2" outlets.

Electric Start Model
The 3" Honda GX390 model is supplied with electric start. Battery and associated battery power leads are not included and must be sourced separately to suit the installation.
Installation & Operation
Correct hose sizing is particularly important with high-pressure pumps. Undersized or excessively long hoses, restrictive fittings and poorly configured suction lines can significantly reduce available flow and overall performance.
Keep the suction hose as short and direct as practical and ensure all suction-side connections are airtight. The pump should be correctly primed with water before starting and should not be operated dry.
For applications involving sprinklers, nozzles or other pressure-dependent equipment, ensure the complete system is suitable for the available pump pressure and flow.
Important Fire-Response Information
Where the pump is incorporated into a fire-response water system, ensure the complete installation—including water supply, hoses, fittings, nozzles and operating procedures—is appropriate for the intended application. Pump performance will vary with operating conditions and system configuration.
