Description
The Paddock™ Concrete Vibrator Poker is a heavy-duty concrete consolidation system available with Honda petrol, YANMAR diesel, KAMA diesel or electric drive options. Choose from 38mm or 45mm poker heads and 6m or 9m flexible drive shafts to suit a wide range of concrete pours.
Designed for construction, concreting and equipment hire applications, the system uses an industrial 50mm (2") 3-claw quick-connect coupling and a heavy-duty flexible shaft for reliable transfer of power from the drive unit to the poker head.
Paddock™ Concrete Vibrator Poker & Flexible Drive
Correctly vibrating freshly placed concrete helps consolidate the mix by removing trapped air and assisting concrete to flow around reinforcement and into formwork.
The Paddock Concrete Vibrator range combines a portable drive unit with a long flexible shaft and either a 38mm or 45mm poker head. The 6m and 9m shaft options provide useful reach for slabs, walls, columns, retaining walls and other concrete pours.

Why Vibrate Concrete?
Freshly placed concrete can contain trapped air pockets and may not completely flow into corners, around reinforcement or against formwork without adequate consolidation.
Immersing a vibrating poker into freshly poured concrete transmits vibration through the mix, helping:
- Remove trapped air
- Consolidate freshly placed concrete
- Improve contact around reinforcing steel
- Assist concrete to flow into corners and confined areas
- Reduce the likelihood of voids and honeycombing caused by inadequate consolidation
Correct vibration technique is important. Excessive vibration can also affect the concrete, so operators should follow appropriate concreting practices for the mix and application.
38mm & 45mm Poker Options
The range is available with a choice of 38mm or 45mm poker heads, allowing the system to be configured for different concrete pours and access requirements.
The smaller poker can be useful where access around reinforcement or formwork is restricted, while the larger poker provides another option for suitable larger-volume applications.
6m & 9m Flexible Drive Shafts
Choose between 6m and 9m flexible drive shaft lengths depending on the reach required.
The extended shaft options are particularly useful when working on larger pours, walls, retaining structures and other applications where the drive unit needs to remain away from the immediate work area.
50mm 3-Claw Quick-Connect Coupling
The Paddock vibrator system uses an industrial 50mm (2") 3-claw dog coupling between the drive unit and flexible shaft.
This provides a straightforward mechanical connection and allows compatible shafts and drive units to be connected or changed as required.

Honda GX160 Petrol
The petrol option uses a Honda GX160 163cc 4-stroke engine with recoil starting and a stated maximum output of 5.5HP.

YANMAR L48N6 Diesel
The YANMAR option uses the L48N6 219cc air-cooled diesel engine with recoil starting and a stated maximum output of 4.7HP.

KAMA KM170F Diesel
The KAMA option provides an alternative diesel-powered drive using the KM170F 211cc engine, recoil starting and a stated maximum output of 3.75HP.

2kW Electric Drive
For applications where mains electric power is preferred, the range is also available with an industrial 2kW electric drive unit.
The electric version eliminates the exhaust emissions associated with petrol or diesel engines, making it a useful option where an appropriate electrical supply is available.

Heavy-Duty Construction
The drive units are mounted to robust steel frames designed to protect the drive system and make transport around the worksite easier.
The flexible shaft incorporates spiral hose protection, while the 3-claw coupling provides a simple and robust connection between the drive and shaft.
Operating Considerations
Select the poker size and flexible shaft length appropriate to the concrete pour, formwork and reinforcement spacing.
Always follow appropriate concrete vibration practices. Avoid prolonged vibration in one position and take care not to damage formwork, reinforcement, embedded services or the flexible shaft during operation.
Petrol and diesel engines produce hazardous exhaust gases including carbon monoxide and must only be operated in suitably ventilated outdoor environments in accordance with the engine manufacturer's instructions.
