Paddock™ 3-Point Quick Hitch – Cat I & Cat II

Description

The Paddock™ 3-Point Quick Hitch makes changing tractor implements faster and easier, reducing the need to manually line up and connect each individual 3-point linkage pin.

Simply connect the quick hitch to your tractor's 3-point linkage and leave it fitted. Compatible implements can then be picked up and released using the quick hitch's spring-loaded locking handles, making it particularly useful for tractors regularly changing between implements.

Available in Category I and Category II versions, these heavy-duty steel quick hitches are ideal for farms, acreage properties and tractor operators running multiple compatible attachments.

Changing between tractor implements can be time consuming, particularly when repeatedly connecting and disconnecting lower linkage arms.

The Paddock™ Quick Hitch creates a convenient interface between the tractor and compatible 3-point implements. Once installed on the tractor, the hitch allows compatible attachments to be connected at the three linkage points without removing the quick hitch each time.

Faster Implement Changes

The quick hitch is designed to remain attached to the tractor's 3-point linkage, allowing compatible implements to be picked up without individually connecting the tractor's linkage arms directly to each implement.

Two spring-loaded handles operate the lower attachment locks, providing a simple method of securing and releasing compatible implements.

This can significantly simplify implement changes where operators regularly move between attachments such as aerators, spreaders, carry-alls and other compatible 3-point equipment.

Cat I & Cat II Models

Two versions are available to suit different tractor linkage categories.

The Category I model (S3PQHC1) has an inside distance between the lower hooks of approximately 688mm and an outside distance of approximately 745mm.

The larger Category II model (S3PQHC2) measures approximately 822mm between the inside edges of the hooks and 922mm across the outside edges.

Adjustable / Fixed Top Link Bracket

The two models use different upper-link arrangements.

The Cat I (S3PQHC1) incorporates an adjustable top-link ball bracket, providing adjustment to help accommodate compatible implements.

The Cat II (S3PQHC2) uses a fixed top-link ball bracket.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

Designed for agricultural and property-maintenance environments, the quick hitch uses a robust steel frame capable of handling the loads associated with compatible tractor implements.

The Cat I hitch weighs approximately 34kg, while the larger Cat II model weighs approximately 60kg.

Remember that the weight of the quick hitch itself becomes part of the load carried by the tractor's 3-point linkage and should be considered when assessing available lift capacity.

Implement Compatibility

Quick hitches are not automatically compatible with every implement of the same 3-point linkage category.

Before purchasing, check the implement's lower pin spacing, upper-link position, pin sizes and available clearance against the quick hitch dimensions.

This is particularly important with older implements or attachments that were not designed around quick-hitch geometry.

As with the existing Paddock tractor attachment range, compatibility should be determined from linkage category, dimensions and tractor capacity rather than tractor brand alone.

Safe Operation

Before use, ensure the quick hitch is correctly connected and secured to all three points of the tractor linkage. Confirm the implement is fully engaged with the hitch and that all locking mechanisms are correctly seated before raising or operating the attachment.

Always check that the tractor has adequate 3-point linkage capacity for the combined weight of the quick hitch and attached implement. The addition of a quick hitch also moves the implement rearward, which can affect tractor balance, linkage loading and available lifting capacity.

Operate within the tractor and implement manufacturers' specified limits and use suitable ballast where required.
