Designed for landscapers, arborists, property maintenance contractors and acreage owners, this heavy-duty hydraulic attachment provides an efficient way to remove unwanted tree stumps without the need for a dedicated stump grinder.
Unlike a conventional stump grinder which uses a high-speed cutting wheel, the stump planer uses a rotating 350mm cutting head to progressively cut and break down the stump. The operator works the planer across the stump in a controlled sequence, removing material section by section until the stump has been reduced to the required level.
The result is a compact and highly versatile stump removal solution that takes advantage of the hydraulic power, manoeuvrability and attachment versatility of the Paddock Mini Loader.
350mm Heavy Duty Cutting Head
At the business end of the attachment is a robust 350mm (14") stump planing head designed to aggressively cut into timber.
The central pilot point helps locate and stabilise the planer as it engages the stump, while the heavy-duty cutting sections remove timber as the hydraulic drive rotates the head.
The design allows the operator to progressively work across larger stumps rather than attempting to remove the entire stump in a single cut.
Controlled Stump Removal
For best results, the planer is progressively repositioned across the surface of the stump.
Start around the outer sections of the stump, making controlled cuts and progressively working around the perimeter. Once the outside sections have been reduced, continue towards the centre until the remaining stump has been removed to the desired depth.
This method helps provide controlled cutting, distributes wear across the cutting head and makes it possible to tackle stumps considerably larger than the diameter of the planer itself.

Important: The stump planer should be operated using a series of controlled cuts across the stump. Avoid attempting to force the entire 350mm cutting head deeply into the stump in a single pass. Allow the hydraulic drive and cutting edges to progressively remove the timber.
