Description
The Paddock™ 3-Point Drum Spike Aerator is a simple and effective tractor attachment for aerating lawns, paddocks, turf and other grassed areas.
Designed to connect directly to a Category I 3-point linkage, the aerator features a wide 1500mm (60") working width and 126 ground-penetrating spikes. As the tractor moves forward, the drum rolls across the surface and the spikes penetrate the soil to a maximum depth of approximately 63mm (2.5").

Aerating compacted ground helps create pathways for air, water and nutrients to penetrate the soil, supporting healthier root development and improved turf and pasture conditions.
The large drum can be filled to add weight when additional penetration is required, while the 3-point linkage allows the implement to be easily raised for transport and positioning.
Paddock™ 1500mm 3-Point Drum Spike Aerator
A practical solution for maintaining larger grassed areas, the Paddock™ Drum Spike Aerator combines a generous working width with the convenience of tractor-mounted operation.
Unlike powered implements, the aerator requires no PTO drive or hydraulic connections. Simply attach it to a compatible Category I tractor and drive across the area to be aerated.

1500mm Working Width
With a working width of approximately 1500mm (60"), the aerator is designed to cover large areas efficiently.
The wide drum makes it well suited to acreage properties, paddocks, sporting turf, larger lawns and other areas where aerating with smaller walk-behind equipment would be time consuming.
126 Ground-Penetrating Spikes
The drum incorporates 126 spikes positioned across its working width.
As the drum rotates, these spikes penetrate the ground to create openings in the soil. This assists water, air and nutrients in reaching below the surface rather than simply running off or remaining at the top of the soil.
Maximum stated aeration depth is approximately 63mm (2.5"), with actual penetration depending on soil conditions, moisture content and drum weight.
Fillable 40 Gallon Drum
The aerator incorporates a large 40 gallon (approx. 151L) drum, which can be filled to increase the operating weight of the implement when additional ground penetration is required.
This allows the operator to adjust the effective weight to better suit different soil conditions.
Note: Added ballast significantly increases the total implement weight. Always ensure the tractor's 3-point linkage has adequate lift capacity and remain within the tractor manufacturer's operating limits.
Category I 3-Point Linkage
The aerator is designed for tractors equipped with a compatible Category I 3-point linkage.
The tractor's linkage allows the aerator to be raised clear of the ground for transport, turning and positioning.
As with other 3-point linkage implements, compatibility should be confirmed using the tractor's linkage category, dimensions and lift capacity rather than tractor brand alone. This follows the compatibility approach used on the existing Paddock tractor attachment range.
Retractable Support Feet
Retractable support feet allow the implement to be supported with the aeration spikes clear of the ground when not operating.
This helps protect the spikes from unnecessary contact and wear during storage and makes connecting and disconnecting the implement easier.

Safe Operation
Before operation, confirm the tractor and 3-point linkage are suitable for the aerator and its operating weight, particularly when ballast has been added to the drum.
Actual spike penetration will vary depending on soil type, moisture, compaction and the amount of weight in the drum. Take additional care on slopes, uneven terrain and around underground irrigation, electrical services or other buried infrastructure.
