Description
The Paddock™ Hydraulic Tree & Log Grapple is a heavy-duty mini loader attachment designed for gripping, moving and positioning fallen trees, logs and similar bulky material. Featuring a 950mm maximum grapple opening and a rotatable grapple head, it provides a practical solution for arborists, landscapers, farmers and property maintenance contractors.
The hydraulic grapple securely closes around the material, while the head can be repositioned to allow logs to be handled across the loader or lengthways for dragging and manoeuvring through tighter or more complex access routes.
Paddock™ Hydraulic Tree & Log Grapple
Turn a compatible mini loader into a versatile log-handling machine with the Paddock™ Hydraulic Tree Grapple. Designed specifically for handling fallen trees and logs, the attachment uses hydraulic grapple arms to grip material for lifting, dragging, repositioning and site clean-up.
The ability to reposition the grapple head provides additional flexibility when handling longer or awkward loads.

950mm Maximum Grapple Opening
The hydraulic grapple opens to a maximum of approximately 950mm, allowing it to grip a range of compatible logs, branches and tree sections.
The hydraulic action allows the grapple fingers to close around the material, providing controlled handling from the mini loader.
The 950mm specification refers to the maximum grapple opening and should not be interpreted as a maximum log size or load rating. The shape, weight and balance of the material must also be considered.
Rotatable Grapple Head
One of the key features of this attachment is its ability to reposition the grapple head for different log-handling applications.
For conventional handling, the grapple can grip a log across the front of the loader for lifting and repositioning.
For longer or heavier logs where crossways handling is impractical, the grapple head can be unlocked and repositioned so the log can be approached from the end. This allows suitable logs to be handled lengthways with the loader.
Lengthways Log Handling
Positioning the log lengthways can be particularly useful when dragging material through gateways, tracks, wooded areas and other locations where carrying a long log across the front of the machine would restrict manoeuvrability.
Rather than attempting to fully lift a large log, the grapple can be used to control one end while suitable material is dragged behind the loader.
Actual handling capability depends on the log weight and dimensions, grapple position, loader capacity, attachment geometry, terrain and operating conditions.
Integrated Log Stopper
The grapple incorporates a stopper designed to assist with controlling material during handling. It can also help when pushing and repositioning logs around a work site.
Ideal for Tree & Property Clean-Up
The Paddock™ Tree Grapple is particularly useful anywhere fallen trees, logs and large branches need to be moved efficiently.
Typical applications include:
- Arborist and tree-lopping work
- Storm and fallen-tree clean-up
- Landscaping
- Farm and acreage maintenance
- Property clearing
- Firewood handling
- Moving cut logs and tree sections
- Clearing tracks and access routes
- Construction and site clean-up
Mini Loader Mounting
The attachment uses a Multifit / Universal Skid Steer style receiver arrangement with an approximate mounting area of 595 × 220mm.
Slotted 16mm pin holes provide compatibility with a range of suitable mini loader mounting arrangements.
Do not assume fitment based on the term "universal" alone. Always compare the attachment mounting dimensions and pin arrangement with your machine before purchasing.
Hydraulic Connections
The grapple is specified as compatible with 1/2" DNP flat-faced hydraulic connections.
When fitting the grapple to another loader, confirm the hydraulic coupling type and the suitability of the host machine's auxiliary hydraulic system before operation.

Important Load Handling Information
No specific lifting capacity for the grapple is stated in the supplied specifications. The amount of material that can be safely handled is determined by the complete loader and attachment combination, not simply the grapple opening.
Log weight can vary significantly depending on timber species, diameter, length and moisture content. Long loads can also move the centre of gravity considerably further from the loader.
Operate within the loader manufacturer's specified limits and account for the approximately 160kg attachment weight when determining available load capacity.
Keep loads as low as practical while travelling and use additional caution on slopes, uneven terrain and when handling long or unbalanced material.
Inspection & Operation
Before use, inspect the grapple structure, hydraulic hoses and couplings, cylinders, pins, mounting points and retaining hardware. Do not operate the attachment with damaged, loose or excessively worn components.
Keep people clear of the grapple, suspended material and the operating area while the attachment is in use.
