Description
The Paddock™ Mini Loader Trencher Attachment is a heavy-duty hydraulic trencher designed for installing irrigation, drainage, electrical conduit, communications cable and other underground services. Capable of trenching up to 800mm deep with an adjustable trench width from 155–300mm, it provides an efficient solution for contractors, landscapers, farmers and property maintenance applications.
Designed for the Paddock™ range of compatible mini loaders and other suitably matched machines, the trencher operates with an ideal hydraulic flow of 70–115 L/min.
Paddock™ Hydraulic Trencher Attachment for Mini Loaders
The Paddock™ Trencher is designed to quickly excavate narrow trenches using the hydraulic power of a compatible mini loader.
A rotating digging chain fitted with hardened cutting teeth excavates the ground while the side auger moves spoil away from the trench. This helps produce a defined channel ready for the installation of compatible underground services.
Mini Loader Trencher Features
- Maximum trenching depth of 800mm
- Adjustable trench width from 155–300mm
- Ideal hydraulic flow of 70–115 L/min
- Rotational speed of approximately 300–460 RPM
- Hardened digging teeth
- Side auger helps clear excavated material from the trench
- Multifit / universal skid steer style mounting arrangement
- Compatible with DNP flat-faced hydraulic connections
- Heavy-duty construction
- Approx. 180kg attachment weight
- Suitable for compatible Paddock™ mini loaders
- Can suit other mini loaders with compatible mounting and hydraulic specifications
- 12 month warranty
Up to 800mm Trenching Depth
With a maximum stated digging depth of 800mm, the trencher is suited to a wide variety of underground installation and property maintenance applications.
Typical uses include trenching for:
- Irrigation pipe
- Water lines
- Drainage
- Electrical conduit
- Communications conduit
- Landscape services
- Farm and acreage infrastructure
- General underground services
Always identify existing underground services and confirm applicable installation-depth requirements before commencing excavation.
Adjustable 155–300mm Trench Width
The trenching width can be configured from approximately 155mm through to 300mm, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.
This is particularly useful where wider trenches are required for larger pipework, drainage or multiple-service installations.
Hydraulic Drive
The trencher is powered directly from the host machine's auxiliary hydraulic system and is designed around an ideal hydraulic flow of 70–115 L/min.
Correct hydraulic matching is important for achieving suitable chain speed and digging performance.
Before fitting the trencher to a machine other than the specified Paddock™ loaders, confirm the host machine's:
- Auxiliary hydraulic flow
- Hydraulic operating pressure
- Hydraulic connection type
- Attachment mounting dimensions
- Lift capacity and attachment weight suitability
Hardened Digging Teeth
The trenching chain incorporates hardened cutting teeth designed for excavation through suitable soils and ground conditions.
Actual trenching performance and tooth wear will depend on soil type, moisture, compaction, rocks, roots and operating technique.
Side-Clearing Auger
An integrated screw auger helps move excavated material away from the cutting chain and towards the side of the trench.
This helps keep spoil clear of the trench opening and makes subsequent pipe, conduit or service installation easier.
Mini Loader Mounting
The attachment uses a Multifit / Universal Skid Steer style receiver arrangement with a stated mounting area of approximately 595 × 220mm.
Slotted 16mm pin holes are incorporated to accommodate a range of compatible mini loader mounting arrangements.
Do not assume fitment based on the term "universal" alone. Always compare the mounting dimensions and pin arrangement with your loader before purchasing.
Hydraulic Connections
The trencher is specified as compatible with DNP flat-faced hydraulic connections.
Confirm the coupling size and type fitted to your machine before ordering, particularly when installing the trencher on a different brand or model of mini loader.

Loader Compatibility
This trencher is designed for use with compatible Paddock™ mini loaders and may also suit other mini loaders with appropriately matched mounting and hydraulic systems.
Compatibility should be confirmed before purchase. Check the receiver plate dimensions, pin arrangement, hydraulic coupling type, auxiliary hydraulic flow and operating pressure against your loader's specifications.

Important Operating Considerations
Trenching performance varies according to ground conditions. Hard-packed clay, rock, tree roots and other obstructions can reduce digging speed and increase wear on the chain and cutting teeth.
Before trenching, locate all underground electrical, gas, water, telecommunications, irrigation and other services. Do not operate the trencher where unknown underground services may be present.
Inspect the digging chain, teeth, hydraulic hoses, couplings, mounting points and retaining pins before operation. Replace worn or damaged components before returning the attachment to service.
