Description

The Paddock 12V Petrol & Diesel Transfer Pump Station is a high-flow fuel transfer kit designed for refuelling machinery, vehicles, boats, tractors and other equipment. The kit combines a 12V sliding vane pump with a flow meter, 4m discharge hose, automatic shut-off nozzle and adjustable dip tube for a complete drum-mounted refuelling solution.

With flow rates up to 75 L/min, the pump is suitable for transferring unleaded petrol, diesel, kerosene, mineral spirits and other compatible fuels.

Complete 12V Fuel Transfer Kit

This kit provides the main components required to create a practical mobile or stationary refuelling station.

Included with the pump station:

  • 12V fuel transfer pump
  • Flow meter

  • Integrated nozzle holder

The pump is particularly suited to mounting on the top of a standard fuel drum using the integrated 2" BSP threaded mounting connection.

Petrol & Diesel Compatible

The pump uses a cast steel body with Viton seals and is intended for use with compatible fuels including:

  • Unleaded petrol / gasoline
  • Diesel
  • Kerosene
  • Mineral spirits
  • Selected compatible solvents

Important: Always confirm compatibility of the complete transfer system, including pump, hose, nozzle and meter, with the fuel being transferred.

Not Recommended for Aviation Fuel

This pump is not recommended for aviation fuel applications.

The pump body is manufactured from cast steel, which can potentially generate corrosion particles over time. These particles may contaminate fuel or contribute to downstream filter blockage, making the pump unsuitable for applications requiring aviation fuel cleanliness standards.

High Flow Fuel Transfer

The pump provides flow rates up to approximately 75 L/min, making it well suited to refuelling:

Actual flow rate will depend on suction conditions, hose length, fluid type, system restrictions and supply voltage.

Automatic Shut-Off Nozzle

The supplied aluminium fuel nozzle includes an automatic shut-off function, helping reduce the chance of overfilling during refuelling.

The nozzle uses NBR seals and should only be used with compatible fuels.

Integrated Flow Meter

The kit includes an inline mechanical flow meter allowing the operator to monitor the quantity of fuel dispensed.

The meter includes both a resettable delivery display and a cumulative totaliser, making it useful for monitoring individual fills as well as overall fuel usage.

Automatic Internal Bypass Valve

An internal bypass valve is incorporated into the pump chamber.

When the nozzle closes while the pump is still running, the bypass valve allows fuel to recirculate internally rather than forcing the pump against a completely closed discharge.

This provides useful short-term protection while the operator moves between the pump and the equipment being refuelled.

Do not operate the pump in bypass mode for more than approximately 2-3 minutes. Extended recirculation can cause the fuel and pump to heat excessively.

Self-Priming Pump

The sliding vane pump is self-priming, making startup straightforward when the suction tube is correctly installed in the fuel source.

A built-in inlet strainer helps prevent larger debris from entering the pump.

Fuel Pump Demonstration

Optional Extras

Heavy Duty Power Leads - 2m power leads with alligator clips for easy connection to a suitable 12V battery.

Inline Fuel Filter - 5 micron fuel filter rated for flows up to approximately 105 L/min and suitable for compatible petrol and diesel applications. Optional fittings are available to simplify connection to the pump station.

Important Operating Notes

Bypass operation: Do not leave the pump running against a closed nozzle for more than approximately 2-3 minutes.

Fuel compatibility: Confirm the complete system is compatible with the fuel being transferred, particularly where ethanol blends, biodiesel or solvents are involved.

Electrical supply: Use a suitable 12V electrical supply with adequately sized cabling and circuit protection.

Static electricity: Fuel transfer systems must be installed and operated with appropriate bonding, grounding and static-control measures for the fuel and installation.

Filtration: Where fuel cleanliness is important, install an appropriate inline fuel filter downstream of the pump.

fuel pump

it is a good pump when working but we had a previous one and the switch gave out after 2 mths and wouldnt work should have got a new one replaced under warranty but never did

All went together well. I just fitted a filter to the outlet. Works well and pumps fast. A bit longer cable would have been good. But I’m happy with it and would recommend it.
