Paddock Portable Butane Thermal Fogger
Portable Fogging Without Mains Power
The Paddock Thermal Fogger uses a disposable butane camping-style gas canister to heat and atomise the selected fogging solution. This allows the unit to operate independently of mains electricity, making it useful around larger properties, gardens and outdoor areas where power may not be readily available.
Once operating, the user controls fog output manually using the trigger, allowing the application rate to be adjusted to suit the area being treated and the instructions for the selected chemical product.
Designed for Outdoor Pest-Control Applications
Thermal fogging produces a cloud of very fine droplets that can move through outdoor spaces and vegetation. This makes the unit useful for treating areas where flying insects may be present, subject to the directions and approved uses of the chemical being applied.
For best results, applications are generally carried out in calm conditions to minimise drift. Always follow the selected chemical product label regarding timing, weather conditions, treated areas, re-entry periods and personal protective equipment.
Separate Carrier & Chemical Tanks
The fogger uses separate tanks for the carrier fluid and the active chemical solution:
- Carrier fluid tank: 2.8L
- Chemical solution tank: 400mL
This layout keeps the active solution separate from the larger carrier reservoir and allows the operator to prepare the unit according to the requirements of the chemical being used.
Thermal Fogging or Misting
The Paddock unit can be used for either thermal fogging or misting applications, depending on the selected solution and operating method.
Only use products that are specifically suitable and legally approved for the intended application method. Always follow the chemical manufacturer's label, safety data sheet and mixing instructions.
Simple Portable Operation
Operation is straightforward:
- Prepare the selected solution in accordance with its product label.
- Fill the appropriate tanks.
- Fit a compatible disposable butane canister.
- Ignite the burner using the push-button ignition.
- Allow the unit to reach operating temperature.
- Use the trigger to control fog output.
Refer to the supplied user manual for the complete start-up, operating and shutdown procedure before first use.
Where Can It Be Used?
Subject to the approved use directions of the selected chemical, the fogger may be suitable for areas such as:
- Residential yards
- Outdoor entertaining areas
- Gardens and landscaped areas
- Farms and acreage
- Sheds and outdoor work areas
- Commercial outdoor areas
Operating Conditions Matter
Fogging should only be carried out when conditions are suitable. Wind can quickly carry fog away from the intended treatment area and increase the risk of off-target drift.
Avoid fogging near people, animals, food-preparation areas, open water, neighbouring properties or other sensitive areas unless the selected chemical label specifically permits the intended application.
Chemical Selection
The fogger itself is an application device. The effectiveness, mixing rate, permitted treatment area and safety requirements are determined by the chemical product being used.
Use only chemicals that are approved for the intended pest and application method. Do not rely on generic mixing rates from the fogger listing; always follow the current product label and safety data sheet supplied with the chemical.
